Love the achievement update! Buuut:

1. Why does it not just grant me the rewards? Why must I click through the envelope thing? A pop-up with the rewards surely would suffice. It would be a little less clicking and a little clearer. Feels clunky.

2. Any sort of notification when we have fulfilled the requirements for an achievement would be great. Especially for late-game achievements, it may be easy to miss and it may become neglected! A mail notification would be great in THIS instance.

Agreed; I'm worried I might miss a reward when claiming from the mailbox.

I don't mind the mail notification as a method of delivering the reward. That's how they've delivered rewards in the past, its how you claim things purchased in the market. So I'm used to it.

I do have a suggestion for the new Crafting format. It was faster scrolling through the list of the old method then it is to type in what I want in this new one. If they keep this new method, I would like to have the ability to favorite the recipes I use the most so they stay at the top because every single time I want to craft again, I have to type in the recipe to bring it up which is annoying when I'm crafting the same thing several times in a row, for example larger bone paste recipes.
