Expanded profession slots

It doesn’t seem like the moonstone expansion prices are going away, so I have s proposed change. Rather than doubling for the same amount of spaces it might be ideal to price a row at 25 stones each. It would be easy to calculate how many extra slots those who have upgraded get, and feel less oppressive with the expansions in you are getting a little more for what you’re putting in.

I still wholeheartedly think they should undo the moonstone expansions entirely, and make them pebbles. If that is impossible (or even if it is possible) I'd like to see more additional slots for leveling up (a slot or row of slots for every 5 or 10 levels or so), or maybe even for getting certain achievements. I'd much rather see that happening instead of making it a flat price. But if anything, the flat price is better than the scaling price. Still, overall my preference would go towards no moonstone expansions.

I don’t think they have enough to buy with moonstones to make the expansions pebbles. They have a handful of moonstone companions and CAT’s and some moonstone apparel. That’s it, and the biggest thing, the tokens, don’t attract people who can’t use them. I think the best solution, would be the flat fee for pay upgrades. I absolutely would love progression based slots as well, but that’s another suggestion.

Ah I see your angle! I get what you mean with not having enough stuff available for moonstones. In the end, yes they do need more enticing things for moonstones. That being said, expansion slots costing moonstones is pay to win, and killing the economy. And there's also too little stuff to spend pebbles on right now. (I've completely maxed out my Den, and currently sitting pretty on 40million pebbles with nothing to spend it on. The only thing I want/need are moonstone costing besprinklers and genes/breed scrolls, but the exchange rate is through the roof and absolutely not worth it rn) On the long term I think if they add more aesthetic and not-gameplay-altering/improving additions costing moonstones the issue you mentioned of not having enough enticing things to spend moonstones one will be be gradually fixed. But the need for more pebble sinks is more dire imo, given the current economy. But that I think is also an entire different discussion for which many threads are already floating around, both in discussions and suggestions..

So all things considered. A little support for lowering the prices into flat fees to make it more managable, but to actually solve the problem of moonstones, I think the root of the issue lies elsewhere.

(And yes, I actually made a suggestion about those other slot additions months ago, It should be floating around the forum somewhere! :) )

I think I was in full support of that one. But yeah! A flat rate expansion cost would make the MS expansions bearable. They could add more stuff for pebbles first and then add more things for MS when we keep running out of pebbles consistently. The achievements did help a little, but there’s always room for more polish.

If they need more attractive things to spend MS on, there should be plenty of future breed and pattern releases, apparel recolors and companions to bank on. Their only struggle on that front is just getting consistent with their updates, but once something is released, well, it's there for people to purchase as many times as they'd like.

I'd prefer they just refund people's moonstones that spent on account expansions & make progression far less like a system in one of those microtransaction heavy mobile games. :P It's far from impossible, and would be so much healthier for player retention.

The advantage of extension is way too big to be Moostones only, flat or gradual. For example, I was stagnating with mining, and as soon as I bought 2 extensions my mining level started to move again, no more being stuck with half my inventory full of useless ores, no more micromanaging to go anywhere. This is unfair to anyone who can't buy moonstones and is only getting MS from the daily grind.

In the worst-case scenario, I'd rather not be compensated for my purchase than keep the system as it is now. At this point, I just want this unfair advantage gone.

I think that if the devs were interested in changing expansions to pebbles they would have done so by now, so I’ve accepted that it will stay ms. I strongly believe however that the current price (25+50+100) is way too high for what you actually get (a few extra slots for ONE profession). I agree that 25+25+25 would be more reasonable.

Maybe when they add more professions some of them could have expansions for pebbles.

Yeah I think a flat rate of 25 would be plenty. That's enough of a sink that I already barely wanna do it lol. Forced myself to do the 50. Thought it might have capped there but my next expansion is for 100 and there ain't no hecking way.
