Disables wolves from participating in [breeding/activity]

I don't have max wolves yet, but I've noticed that it takes a while for Pageant to load in all my wolves, and there's a lot of scrolling to then be done. It seemed like it would be nice if I could just mark my wolves as unable to participate, so I won't have to scroll through wolves that I'll never put in the Pageant.

Similarly, I have a lot of breedable wolves, but don't want to ever breed some of them. If I could mark them as unavailable for breeding, it'd simplify my life. This could also be used to prevent the stress people have over accidental breedings.

Note: Not fixed/spayed/neutered, they're entirely intact, just marked as unavailable in your den only. If you sell/trade the wolf, that ineligibility doesn't stay. It can also be switched on/off at any time.

Marking them as unable to participate in Hunting might be similarly useful. Maybe Campaign, too. Most people probably don't change Miner and Fisher enough for it to be relevant, but if it's easier to include that.

I think that covers everything. It'd probably be a little annoying to implement, I'd think, but not too bad, and would probably be greatly appreciated (especially for breeding!).

Yes, I especially love the idea of being able to disable wolves from being breedable and releaseable. Ofcourse, the moment you sell or trade away the wolf this setting should be reset.

Support! I think the best visual for this would be to have a "Permissions" page on each wolf. Give it simple check boxes and have it say something like

This lorwolf is available for:

  • Release
  • Breeding
  • Selling
  • Pageant
  • [A checkbox for each profession]

They all start checked by default and reset on ownership transfer. Unchecking a box removes that wolf from that menu, and in the case of releasing/breeding removes (or deactivates) those buttons on the wolf.

It'd be a little annoying to go through every wolf when it's first implemented, but after the initial setup it'd probably be easier to only have to go to one page after getting a new wolf than it would be having to bounce around to various profession pages.

It might be nice to also have an account setting where you could change the default for new wolves to 'all permissions off' rather than on

Yeah! Both of those would be good. I forgot accidental releasing is also a thing. (I haven't released a single wolf yet.) Would be nice insurance to protect against it. (Technically, I believe clothing/companion make them unable to be released, but not everyone wants that on all their wolves, or go through newly bought/bred ones to release, where a new one they wanted to keep was mixed in.) I really hope they at least make an option to disable releasing/breeding per wolf. The others at least only introduce more scrolling and don't make you permanently lose/modify wolves in some way.

This would be a nice little change, I'd like to see a little bank of toggles on any given wolf's page.

Edit: Companions on cooldown won't let you release a wolf, but apparel does not stop you-- I had a spare adult wolf waiting for release, so I gave it a frog companion and played with it; told me I can't while it's on cooldown. Waited an hour, put a butterfly nose on her and tried again-- it allowed me to release it, while dumping the nose apparel back in my inventory. So that adds more usefulness to this suggestion, since throwing cheap nose apparel on wolves you want to keep won't save them from accidental release!

Oh, hm. I had no idea, because I've never tried. Good to know.

Support. I currently only have two breeding pairs so picking the wolves I want to breed out of all the rest is a nightmare, if this was a thing I could just exclude most of my den from breeding

Yes! But I think you should be able to multi select for it instead of only being able to do it on wolves one by one
