As hunting currently is, I find it slow and tedious to set up all my hunts.


There is the option to just click wolves quickly and at random if you don't care about matching synergies to get more successful hunts, but I usually prefer to try and match as many synergies as I can. And I find this process very slow; so I usually don't even bother with hunting unless I'm getting weekly tickets for it.


My suggestion is for an auto fill option. Just like how you can auto fill food instead of manually selecting it, I would love if there was an auto fill that selected wolves and companions. If it could smartly fill slots based on having the most matching synergies, that would be even better.


Alternatively, have something like a "recommended" tab in the wolf select pop-up showing your wolves and companions with the most matching synergies. I would prefer an auto fill but this would also be great.


Let me know if I overlooked anything, I've tried to think of downsides to this and I can't really think of anything but I might be missing something.

An autofill would be immensely convenient, but things I have suggested before (if autofill is too complicated), is:

1. In terms of party selection:

search and filter - based on name, level, synergy and selected companion, and perhaps also full stamina bar

being able to select any companion at lv10 regardless of whether it is attached to a wolf on the team (mostly related to cooldowns and not being able to switch companions around while on cooldown)

2. In other sections:

Improve the rewards (they are incredibly lackluster, it's not even worth hunting most of the times)

Make the required synergies more accessible - too many are plain impossible, and many others only possible you have very specific and rare companions

I would love the option to click "use last team" and have it use the wolves/companions from the last attempts on that quest if possible. For instance, if one wolf and companion end up being in another hunt, the ones you can use will show up- just not the others. I think this helps a lot with predetermined hunting teams. Someone mentioned on a thread that they attach companions and remove them for hunting, but this takes a few more page turns and clicks. Though, I don't think you should be able to remove a companion if it is in a hunt, but that's another discussion.

I think organizing an auto-fill would be difficult because the system would either A. read the wolves before the companions (putting in more wolves than companions causing more food usage) or B. Reuse the same wolves because their companions perfectly match (Zerda and Tawny Rodills are used a looot). I think it would take a lot of optimization and have a lot of rules to account for.

Not entirely sure how, but yeah hunting is really in bad need of some kind of overhaul or improvement. Better rewards would go a long way to making it worth it, but only if that also came with companion and synergy improvements. It's another profession I'm trying to slow down the leveling of instead of speed up, because the reward to micromanaging ratio is way off. The rewards for higher level hunts aren't really more useful than the lower level ones despite requiring more planning, more often it seems like it's the opposite.
It's just impossible to actually max even a lot of very low level hunting tasks, which doesn't make me excited to see the higher level ones. :P
I feel like a lot of them were designed backwards; nothing should have been implemented that was impossible, especially at the low levels. As more companions and wolves got added, it would have been appropriate to expand the hunting pool with more varied synergy requirements from there with new combos. Now, it feels like we are going to be playing catch up for months, for hunts that released when the game launched. "Technically impossible to fully synergize" hunts feel like they should have been a very end-game hunt scenario, hiding massive, highly desirable rewards and rewarding people taking the time to minmax their hunting teams... not start at level 3-5.
