How do I get new lorwolves

I understand the concept of breeding (I think, I didn't do the tutorial but it seems pretty simple), but how do I get new lorwolves without breeding? Is it possible? I presume I can get them from auctions and such as well, but can I get them through other (hopefully free) manners? Such as campaigning?

You can also get them by saving up 50 knucklebones and hunting for one. These can be obtained through campaign wild wolf encounters or releasing a level 10 wolf.
