how do i get salt?

how on earth do i get salt? ive read a few item list pages but they don't specifically say where to get it, just that you can get it in the campaign.

If your cooking level is high enough, you have a chance to find salt with the "Cooking - Find Ingredients" encounter, but it can take a lot of time and/or stamina to get a significant amount of it. If your cooking level isn't high enough, you can also wait for the Mole Market to sell them.
