Oh in that sense. I get the wording now. And I do get that for you it would be more convenient, but for me it wouldn't. And my math is as follows:
Current system:
Click on add wolf (+1)
Click on den (+1)
Select wolf (+1)
Click on add wolf (+1)
Click on den (+1)
Select wolf 2 (+1)
(= 6 clicks total)
Your suggested system:
Click on add wolf (+1)
Click on den (+1)
Select wolf (+1)
Companion is automatically added (no clicks)
Remove companion cause I don't want it added (+1)
Click on add wolf (+1)
Click on den (+1)
Select wolf 2 (+1)
(= 7 clicks total)
So while in your situation it is more convenient. For other situations your suggestion is actually more inconvenient (7 > 6) compared to the status quo. Which is why I don't support it. I'm fine with QoL and convenience improvements, but not if they inconvenience half of the time as well.
Hence why I suggested alternatives that would not inconvienece. I personally think, as I said in my latest reply, that a more sleek team selection screen would make the best out of both worlds. If the selection screen doesn't disappear every time you select something, but just remains popped up, you wouldn't have to go through the whole searching part again (which is what you are looking for) but also not be forced to do extra clicks because things I don't want added to the team are automatically added.
Or make saved teams where Neven and Burvju (awesome names btw!) and their companions are part of the standard team, and still leaves you the option to add whatever 5th member you want. In comparison, I see a 'saved' team option similar to FR's saved teams in the coliseum. it just auto selects them but the team doesn't have to be fully filled when saved, the battle doesn't automatically start, and you can still deicde to swap out or add onto after autoselecting the saved teammembers.
As for which hunts use just wolves: pretty much all low level hunts can be done with just wolves. Damage control (lupin with any other wolf, or zerda with bracchus, or zerda with volmyr or 2 zerdas), shock and awe (jocol with any other wolf, or bracchus with kit), angry bears (2 lupins, 2 bracchus, or 1 bracchus or lupin with 1 zerda or 1 volmyr), etc. etc.
I personally mostly hunt for the exp and activity 'quest' (the rewards aren't really worth my trouble to be honest) and pretty much all of my companions are already level 10, so the xp would be wasted on them. So I don't need companions (I'm only missing the referal ones anyway and they are account bound) but thanks for the offer.
