My goal is usually just 52 books a year (I did 90 last year but discovering LW now has me scrambling for my very last book to finish up this year) and find myself avoiding reading when I set up strict books to read bc I'm such a mood reader. I did like looking at the challenges though and seeing which books I have read that already fit into them! Throwing out these reccs for the challenges if anyone does wanna try.

#7 Carrie Soto is Back

#9 I really recommend Deaf Utopia

#18 Project Hail Mary

#22 Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow

#23 Eragon. Yes, read it again.

#38 Legends and Lattes

#45 Priory of the Orange Tree (also hits dragons and multiple POVs)

For the advanced

#1 My Year of Rest and Relaxation (altho I didn't love this one hahaha- that's also a full sentence tho)

I'm planning on doing it! There might be a couple prompts that get changed a bit though. (Like #40. I don't like horror, and actively avoid it. However, I found a YA book that seems interesting that fits, so I'll give that one a try. If I end up not finishing I'll change the prompt to just a book by a BIPOC author.)

And #15 is kind of funny, as I am a librarian. So basically anything I want to read in 2024 will fit the prompt!

If anyone has book recommendations featuring a 24 year old main character I'd love to hear them, because that one's being a bit hard to track down!

Wanna give me a rec for the librarian prompt?

@Rowan

I'd love to! Here are some books I've really enjoyed reading in 2023:

Starter Villain by John Scalzi (his The Kaiju Preservation Society is amazing too)
City Spies by James Ponti (it's junior fiction, but it was really good!)
If Only You by Chloe Liese
The Last Cold Place by Naira de Gracia (nonfiction about studying penguins in Antarctica)
Girls and Their Horses by Eliza Jane Brazier
Skyriders by Polly Holyoke (another really good junior fiction!)
Temples of Books by Marianne Julia Strauss (a gorgeous nonfiction about various libraries around the world)
The Queen's Crown by K. M. Shea (it's the third book in a trilogy, but the whole trilogy is amazing!)

Hopefully there's one or two there that look interesting to you!
