Lorwolf is already punishing enough for casual players to retire, or soft retire anything they put out at current. I do not think a comparison of a major game company, to an small indie company like this is a very good comparison. Having the sets not soft retire will be helpful, since the team could potentially work on other art for other aspects of the site and not have to introduce something new each seasonal event.

Overall, I really would love the chance to not be pushed to grind for the sets, and be able to get them at my own pace without paying an arm and a leg in moonstones later down the line because I simply couldn't play at the time they were released.

I have mixed feelings here. I like that items soft retire, I enjoy that aspect of petsite economy, but the amount of items that are soft retiring paired with the price makes it concerning to me. In my opinion retiring items should be priced in a way that allows casual players to get however much of what they want before they're gone.

I've been hitting the grind today and over several hours have managed to earn 365 tickets. That sounds like a lot, but when each item is between 75-300, and there are 20+ of them, that's not much at all! Granted this is VERY early on in the event, so there's plenty more to be earned for the next month, but the trials only payout once and it's a slow trickle past that.

In my opinion only the Frostbite Winter Hunter set should soft retire, and the lower rarity ones should continue being available at least for a few cycles of this event. Since the developers have stated they won't make a ton of apparel in favor of making new wolves while the community makes CAs, it's probably a good idea to keep a lot of what they do make in circulation. This way there's less of a panic grind for completionists, something rare and soft retired to hunt for for collectors, and more non user made items in circulation for the economy.

Of course, in the end I think it'll probably be fine if all these items soft retire, it's just growing pains and the panic of a first event with limited goods. Just my thoughts on how it could be more user friendly for people that don't have absurd amounts of free time like I do, LOL.

I support not soft retiring the sets. As a fairly casual player myself, I'd rather be able to get items at my own pace, and I also think it's beneficial for players who join the game in future years to be able to get the items for themselves. I've never been a fan of Flight Rising's "you had to be there" system.

I absolutely wouldn't be adverse to them soft retiring, if they all cost like half as much! That would allow everyone to get what they wanted, while still earning them, and then it wouldn't feel like being rushed to play.

The tasks to get the vouchers are... extensive. Finding 60 items in Icerun, or fighting ten bosses is no small feat, and the rewards are multiple tickets, but it's still a LOT for a set. I'd much rather see the items return next year, so we won't be forced to pick the set we want most and suffer trying to get the others.

Support. I would understand if one of the sets and maybe the companions retired, but for practically all of them? Nah.. thats way too much to soft retire for a lootbox. I really don't think they should proceed with this.

(Crawls out from under a rock) What? I can't tell which items soft-retire. Can someone get me up to speed where that information is located, and which items I need to get before they become harder to acquire?

@Desnik All the Apparel sets, and companions. It will take a total of 3300 vouchers to get a copy of everything in the shop.

@Desnik it is located in the dev update! https://www.lorwolf.com/Forum/View?id=10807

The winter sets and non consumed companions (Crystalapins and Frostspinners) will be soft retiring, so that's 20/47 items that will be soft retiring.
