Please make some event items retire or soft retire

Retired items are more valuable. Not only in terms of money but getting something exclusive giving us this sweet sweet dopamine and I love it! Either by getting item while it's able to buy/grind or buying this item from other players after grinding and saving for it.

I understand most people just want to get everything for free but it is wrong. You should be rewarded for taking part in something when it's up. Like in this case being rewarded for giving your precious time to grind for this new items. Right here, right now.

I would love some items to be retired permanently, maybe this 4 entirely new companions? Only few items, but still: some of them. BUT! Some form of soft retirement would be good compromise for both sides. Collectors like me, who loves exclusivite will get some very rare items but others will still be able to get them at some point.

EDIT I found out some items indeed will soft-retire so this thread has no sense anymore.

Some of the apparel is already getting soft retired.
But no support on true retired items. It sucks for players who didn't join, and for this game, if the site takes off even half as much as FR did, then there's gonna be a lot of new folks who didn't even get a chance. The KS stuff is bad enough.

I don't support with how pricey and hard to get some of the items can get. If they cost less, I wouldn't have an issue with this, but as is, casual players will likely not be able to get one of each set without some serious grinding, during one of the busier times of the year. Getting even a full set will take serious work, and having them retire or soft retire will make it less enticing for users to work towards in later years. These items aren't free, they are earned through play.

you need to collect atleast 118 tickets each day to get one of every item, more if you want multiple sets. That is alot of grinding and it adds up quick. not many players have that much time to put aside everyday to get all the tickets they need to obtain everything, and this type of thing snowballs quickly. Having them still be in the shop for next year makes it easier for the people who don't have the time to put 1-2 hours into LW every day

I support a soft retire.

It seems like they are still considering if some things will be soft retired? Or maybe they're considering the way they will become available again, I'm unsure.

I like the in between here, players joining late can wait it out to get the items themselves or the players who are here and have some time to grind out for extras can make a profit for those who don't want to play the waiting game. It currently seems like the only thing worth selling on LW is getting a pretty WW.

Absolutely no support for anything to hard-retire ever again on LW. :/ The soft-retiring already sounds unfriendly to new players enough if it's going into RNG loot boxes, but at least there will be a chance for more to wind up on the markets again later for players that join after the events. I really strongly do not want to see the site prioritize people's desire for future "profit" over people's abilities to enjoy these events in the future, especially with the prohibitively expensive items on offer.

Hi, just popping in to say that Lorwolf has a firm philosophy of not having any permanent retiring items other than the Kickstarter, Alpha and Beta rewards. We do really appreciate your feedback on this point, but would like to be clear that this is not something we wish to implement. Any items that are intended to retire will be considered soft-retired and will be obtainable in some way in future updates. I will go ahead and lock this thread.
