Expanding Professions?

This may be a silly question and I apologized if I missed a thread with this already.

When expanding profession (such as the cooking pot), would it be 1 slot like the den, or is it a row (4)?

It's a whole row. Cooking goes up to 24 slots in four-slot increments and mining to 30 slots in 5-slot increments.
