Hello!

I created this theme here because I am inetersting what do you thinking about using plain markings.

I know its a little cheating isn't it? I using it sometimes, like "oh wow pretty WW! just the accent meh, will use plain!" wait "isn't wolf with plain worse?"
I didint claim like that but sometimes I thinking what other people saying about? 🤔

Like I know not? But lol I just need confirmation that you thinking this isn't a shame, too!. *Saving the ww yeah hehe* ^^

I have a few wws like that so I love it=) but well trying to using this less as I can

I think plain is an easy way out if an ugly color- I personally try to find an accent that looks better than the one it already has, buying it, and slapping it on. For example, if Cozen looks better than Timber, I’ll buy a Cozen.(I hope this makes sense lol)

Thanks for answer! Ofc! Thats understand when you prefer cozen than timber in the wolf youll change=D, Sometimes I changing some of marks when I want to refreshing a wolf too.

I trying to find something matching more than plain, know the plain is easy way to safe wolf:v<3 but people can thinking diferently about "easy" ways.. its doesn't mean that the wolfs are worse because can be even better like I said.

I think plain is okay, but I absolutely cannot stand it when someone is selling a wolf and doesn't say that they have a plain gene. There was someone a long while ago advertising an all pastel beautiful WW that I ended up buying for 150ms. Only to learn once I got her that she wasn't all pastel, just her bright red accent was made plain.

I guess it was my fault for not checking but it seems so dishonest to me. Plain genes were a cool addition, but some people have taken advantage of them unfortunately

Other than that, I'm the same as Lunar Howlers - if I can, I'll avoid using it, but occasionally it's a really nice thing to have.

Edit to add a correction to the above: it was a bright red under AND a bright purple accent. Both plained. Extra sad

I personally don't use Plain but I don't care if other people do :D I HATE it when wolves are sold with plain though but I tend to obsessively check everything before buying any wolf so it's never really been a problem for me

It's a fine (if boring) addition to the game, nothing wrong with people making their own wolves prettier with it.I don't use it and imagine I never would, just because if I have 4 color slots to work with, you bet I want to use them all. But I get it, WW-only dens can't do breeding projects and what not.

I do think people intentionally being dishonest about its use-- selling a wolf via its image without linking to it, hoping prospective buyers won't go into their den to find it and check-- are a fairly rare thing, but it's always worth thinking about!

Always double check! It's not limited to Plain, a lot of people will use the fawn accent in a similar way. There's been quite a few times I've seen a perfect project dog, double checked it, and noticed a hideous accent hidden by fawn's dinky little horns.

Most of the time, I think people aren't necessarily trying to deceive you, maybe they are perfectly satisfied with their breeding pairs and don't imagine that anyone would mind a hidden ugly color. But it does mean I wish we were able to hover over a dog on the flea market and see its colors (and maybe sex, because puppies share poses) to make checking easier as a buyer. :P

I will gene my own wolves with plain, but I will not sell ones with it unless it has it in the name. It just feels deceiving otherwise.

Well, mine are a mix of WWs and normal ones so sometimes I gene them with plain just to get rid of unwanted colors. Otherwise, the WW's I sell won't have plain unless I specifically put "WW Plain Unbred" or something like that in their names.
