as i have recently returned to playing after a long time, im faced with a pretty confusing mechanic lol

how do i lower the chances of my food burning while cooking it? (my cooking level is 3 and 'fatty meat' has a "high chance of burning")

Your best bet is to just keep cooking. The chances will lower as you level up- I can cook anything without burning and have been able to since like lvl 10. It’s annoying, I know, but if you keep leveling up it will get easier. For now don’t cook much stuff with a high burn chance!
