I think it's been over for a long while now. We've not had any progress updates besides A saying "there will be no progress updates" in ages. There's been nothing for the anniversary, or for valentine's, or for Black Friday. There's been nothing at any point for a long time.

It sucks, because I used to play on this site pretty much 24/7. It used to be my favourite thing. But so many of the players seem to be quitting, and I can't really blame them, I'm close too.

I'm just hoping it miraculously turns around. That they actually begin listening to players and telling us what's going on.

Edit to add: I'm not saying any of this to be hateful or hurtful. I'm just a bit upset over all the stuff going on

...It appears I have rejoined lorwolf and it's community at a unfortunate time. Which is sad, I thought this place would turn out awesome when I saw the development progress last year.

For me right now, I'm enjoying the game through going through manually with little to no help from others(excluding recipes and wolves), though I'm not sure how long it will last for before my motivation runs out of steam.

I'm going to use a short analogy:

Being on Lorwolf right now feels like being inside a Waymo (driverless taxi).

While there's nothing wrong with driverless in principle, I wouldn't use a Waymo if I kept getting vibes that the Waymo HQ is abandoned and no one is doing any upkeep on the vehicle.

And no, changing a few typos on item descriptions isn't upkeep.

I honestly can't see anything that would bring this site back to life at this point. It's been mismanaged to disaster.

All we asked for was for the owners to be present and interact with us now and then.

Not really much else to say other than what's already been said. I was also not very happy to see users giving constructive criticism and legitimate feedback being lumped in with users being genuinely hateful; saying "hey can you communicate with us a little bit" is NOT the same as "you guys suck and we hate you for not giving us Lots of Content". Expressing disappointment is not harassment.

I'm staying 'til the ship inevitably sinks, but I'm honestly pretty glad I didn't make any real money or even significant cross-site trade investments in this game. Part of me is tempted to say "maybe if I'd bought something, it would have made a difference", and I'm willing to bet others may have thought the same, but the issue goes beyond what our money could "fix".

I like this game and I don't think it is over. It has a gameloop and account leveling system that no one has bested yet. Even if not a single other thing is added to the game, I can still progress my account to a definitive and challenging end point by my own merits (no IRL currency purchases required). We haven't been given any little updates, but we have gotten the seasonal events that offer cute new cards for my fav game (Arena *swoon*) and cute new clothes for my wolves. Unless Bashful Games says that LW will be imminently shutdown, I will continue to enjoy what it has to offer.

It would be great if we had more CAs, more forum chatter, more economic viability, and that means LW needs more players, which I've been noticing more and more of! It's slow growth, but I am happy to wait patiently and enjoy what I've been offered so far. LW helped foster a relationship with a dear friend and we play together almost every day. This game makes me mad sometimes, but I'll be here to buy and dress dogs and rave about seasonal arena for a long time. :D

I've felt this way for a while. I stopped doing new CAs and restocking existing ones a little while ago. I don't want to financially support a site that is so openly hateful of it's own userbase. Alaunis' post telling us all "this is LWs future, to be updated only when I want, deal with it and shut up" is the nail in the coffin for me.

Why should I pay for moonstones when it's clear to me the owner doesn't care about the site? When the site'll likely get shut down the moment they decide it's not worth hosting something they're putting 0 effort into? Why should I put in my time and effort into CA when I know I am doing more work for the site than the actual devs are, and let them get the real money earned off my time, energy, and skills, when they're providing me nothing (no new content nor communication) in return? I want to be confident that the site will continue to exist. Right now I have no confidence in that. I feel like Alaunis is waiting for the site to die so she can finally breath a sigh of relief as she shuts this site down guilt-free and no longer has the *gasp* terrible terrible oh so very rude users BEGGING for signs of life- the audacity of us. Not sure why else they'd keep paying for the domain while putting in absolutely no work.

This feels like the end of LW to me. To promise a return of items for the anniversary, and then not bring them back? Items that already exist and are coded into the game that would require absolutely no new coding nor art?

Only someone trying to kill their site would "forget" their site's own anniversary. Only someone trying to kill their site would go back on their word regarding returning items and give us 0 signs of life. No communication. Not even a single bit of acknowledgment. We're like civies tryna defibrillate this site and the devs are the medics are back there just watching the corpse flounder, watching us try to keep it alive, just waiting for us to finally give up so they can wheel it away and move on to something else.

Thanks to LW, I will never bother collecting on another site to the extent I have here. I idiotically put all my effort into the ONE petsite that hates its userbase, it seems. This was the one site I felt like I could actually be one of the power users on. 4 digit wolves, a triple WW, a bunch of CA made, every single companion except the referral ones... these status symbols mean nothing. I don't even fully trust one of the beta sites I am using to last beyond launch because of how LW has been treated by its devs.

Hard to say for sure if it's THE end, I doubt there'll be a definitive site shutdown, at least for a while, but I think it's fair to say it's AN end. With large chunks of the community gone or going and a lot of the remaining players focusing more on personal goals rather than site wide events/goals and with no updates or anything to sustain/encourage community, it's certainly feels like an ending.

Who knows, wild things have happened before, it could turn around. I'm not holding my breath, but I'll keep checking the site, if for no other reason than to keep my free food thread active.

Lorwolf could have been something great. I saw it at the start, that's why I decided to play it in the first place. Now it's just a massive waste of potential waiting to die... Welp, at least I didn't spend any real money on this site

I'll be gone for another year then. Wouldn't be surprise to see this all gone by the time I return again
