@lalierre can i please claim Miami Heat, she’s sooo pretty! Also, noob question, but what all does a high level do for the wolf? Is there anything other than boosted performance in the explore/campaign battles?

Leveling up wolves does help with Campaign, Gauntlet, and Hunting. This helps you earn greater rewards; gauntlet, for example, has a much higher pebble payout as you get to higher levels, making it much more worth the food cost and time spent. Campaign will be important in a week or so when the seasonal event releases, as one of the ticket-earning activities involves defeating bosses in campaign.

Additionally, leveling up grants more rewards for releasing wolves if you choose to do so. You earn 1k pebbles per level of the released wolf, and if it’s level 10 you also receive a Knucklebone. 50 Knucklebones unlock a special hunt that has guaranteed success and rewards you with a new wild wolf.

Oooh, I didn’t even know there was a “release wolf” button, but i guess it makes sense otherwise the site would be flooded with them. Knuckle bones tho, I’ll keep those in mind.

I messed with the Gauntlet a little and didn’t get too far. It seems pretty team-comp reliant, so I’ll track down a good guide on the forums.

@Dagger the achievement hunters guild thread has a comp that eventually got me my Level 25 gauntlet achievement, and I still use that team comp if you want to start looking at leveling up wolves/companions for that comp!
