Extra: Kamala may seem unfriendly on the outside, but don't let her appearances fool you; she's a worthy ally to have. Her healing spells and herbs can heal even the most deadly of wounds in mere seconds. Plus, since she's a Volmyr, she has knowledge of how best to attack aerially.

Kamala followed the other lorwolfs at a distance; she knew how others perceived her. Besides, she had only just gotten there as they left. Loki, ever the little trickster, flew up to the others and attempted a little thievery.

"Loki, no!" Kamala cried. "Bad bird!" She trotted up and grabbed Loki carefully.

"Sorry about that," she apologized. "He's a little troublemaker."

Midnightstar was also trailing behind; like Kamala, he'd arrived later. But when the volmyr's dust raven decided to cause some trouble, he decided to join the others as well.

Couldn't hurt, right? He thought.

Flameseer mewed in agreement. "I agree, Midnight." (Side note: Midnightstar can understand the companions. The others may hear natural animal sounds, but he hears actual words being spoken.)

The larger Direwolf trotted up and joined the others; quietly listening to the conversation around him.

"You're welcome," the volmyr's dust raven, Loki, she'd called it, chirped.

Midnightstar chuckled softly. Of course the dust raven knew how to integrate the volmyr into the group.

Dooms ears pricked as he heard fluttering, and he tilted his head in time to see a dark Dustraven pulling at his earrings. He batted them away and turned to see a Direwolf and Volmyr- seemingly joining the group. “Hold up!” He called forward, examining the two. “Hello! You must be fellow travelers, yes? I am Doom- and you are?”

Meanwhile, Heo had poked his head out of his pouch and trilled with joy at the sight of another Dustraven. He pulled a shiny thing- a bottle cap or something- and fluttered over to the bird, offering the cap with hope in his eyes.

Azurity whirled around at Dooms call- new people! He bounced back and skidded to a stop by his dark-furred friend. “Hi! I’m Azurity, also called Azure or RC!” He introduced brightly.

"I'm Kamala," the Volmyr replied. "and this little trickster," she gestures at the Dustraven, "Is Loki."

Loki perked up at the other Dustraven's trill, and accepted the gift he was offered.

"My name is Midnightstar," said the Direwolf. "But you can call me Midnight or Star for short."

Flameseer rubbed up against Midnightstar. "Don't forget me."

"I'd never," Midnight said to his Giant Lunaria friend.

Turning back to the others, he said. "And this is Flameseer. Though you may call her Flame or Seer for short."

Midnightstar smiled as he listened to the Dustraven's bonding.

"Oh, that reminds me," he continued. "I can understand companions...not just Seer's, but all of them."

Valla turned at the commotion, startled to see the two wolves and their companions approaching the group. She took in the scene and calmed at Doom and RC's introductions. Ahhh, so they had headed off a bit early! Well, good thing everyone was able to catch up.

She listened quietly to the introductions, then stepped forward herself, "I'm Valla. It's nice to meet you both." She turned to Midnightstar, "That's fascinating. What an amazing skill to bring on this adventure!"

Midnightstar turned to Valla. "Nice to meet you, too, Valla." Flameseer rubbed up against him. "Thanks!"

"You're special, Midnight," Flameseer purred.

Midnight smiled at his companion, nuzzling her.

Kamala looked at the others, surprised. "Wait...you aren't afraid of me? This is new."

Loki chirped.

"You're a special wolf, Kamala," Loki chirped.

Midnightstar smiled, then repeated the bird's words.

"Thanks," Kamala said.

"Don't thank me; thank Loki," Midnight replied. "He's the one who said it."

Kamala looked at her companion, then smiled. "Thanks, buddy."

Astra startles slightly at the two new wolves, having not noticed them for some reason. Despite the commotion Loki had caused.

With a quick nod of the head, as a respectful greeting, she introduces herself. "Astra."

She tilts her head to Midnight. "... Does this skill of yours translate to magic quills, by any chance?"

Midnightstar turned to Astra. He hesitated, then answered, "I'm afraid it's only the companions, unfortunately. Though it would be cool to know what these quills think of us." (I hope I'm understanding the question asked correctly. More background on Midnight's ability will come) He chuckled.

Kamala noticed the quill above the direwolf in that moment. Cool! A magical item like my Abyssal Aerofin!
