Rupp bowed his head once more in respect to Aphelion, his newest companion. The small Zerda had a bright face with a nervous expression. Their tail was wrapped tightly around them. Rupp tilted his head to the side, "My fair companion Aphelion, what worries you so?"

He was curious, not concerned. Having already declared his forthcoming victory over Chaos, Rupp was sure that he could handle anything.

Valerian tilted his head for a second at Rupp, before trying out his new moniker on his own tongue; "Sir Rupp. Sir Rupp. Sirrupp! Like syrup I suppose..." He gazed beyond the other wolf into the distance, murmuring aloud, "Well, I suppose a title of 'sir' is a good place to start. After all, if you have never had a title before, it can be quite daunting to pluck one up from thin air. You must first get used to introducing yourself with such formalities." Having convinced himself of the appropriateness, he sat before the other dog, leaning back so he sat as straight as possible and nodded his head severely. "Sir Rupp you shall be!"

He turned to the newcomer, eyes glittering in excitement. "A wife that powerful certainly means that you ought to have a title of your own! What is her title, perhaps we can create something anew from whatever powerful name she has made for herself. Perhaps she is dictated as General or Protector? Perhaps even Praetor?" Valerian once more seemed to zone out of the current conversation, far too wrapped up in his own mind to take much notice of Sir Rupp's inquiry.

Aphelion jumps on the chance to escape the Question That Would End In Terror and thinks back. Had Kuiper ever actually had a title? Wait, no, actually, neither of them really did, and the story behind it was funny...

"I don't think Kuiper ever had a title. We did try, it's just that she'd death-glare everybody that dared to. She is the general, or commander really, of our fighting forces, though, and we do have suspicions that she's actually a Spirit, probably of the storms since I know for a fact I've seen lightning occasionally appear around her..."

(edit: forgor that you wouldn't know what Spirits are, since they're my own pack-lore thing. Basically they're often confused with the Spiritwolves, but are actually manifestations of nature and natural things (I'm planning on one being a Consumed Spirit, too...), with the first forming sometime during the beginning of Loria- although most were actually formed after. They can behave like normal lorwolves, but really aren't- they're more cryptidy-, and there are tells for when someone's one, like them instinctually calling on their powers or doing something that's strange to normal wolves. Actually, Starkin are harder to spot, and that's saying something considering all of them are named after specific stars.)

[ I have no plans of poofing, though I'm sorry it took me some extra time to respond. 😂 Writing Wolvesday did NOT happen for me! Things should slow down once I get some of my October nonsense out of the way tho. ]

Sir Rupp sat calmly while watching the other two wolves descend into chatter. Names were a curious thing. Having just chosen his own new name, Rupp wondered how it could come so easily to some and yet be so challenging to others.

Kuiper, their wife, was a Spirit, a commander, maybe a general...

"What about Aphelion the Noble?" he suggested, "If she has no particular title, perhaps you can define yourself by your goals!"

((Phew, all my trips are finally done and out of the way, so I'm ready to jump back into it! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و))

"A Spirit you say?" Valerian gave a huff of thought, tilting his head as Sir Rupp spoke. Hearing his suggestion, he nodded eagerly; "Yes, yes, Aphelion the Noble! For ours is a noble quest and your are a noble wolf!"

Satisfied that everyone had chosen titles, Valerian leaped to his feet. "Come now, my fine friends! We shall make our way into the forest and towards where the Consumed are gathering their strength, and squash them down in defeat, once and for all! My reports tell me that there have been sightings of Consumed Brothers stumbling through the trees. Keep your eyes and ears peeled, and we may happen upon one to defeat!"

Valerian glanced around, scanning the forest as if assessing where to go. There seemed to be a bit more shadow in one corner, and satisfied with that prospect, he set off on a jaunt towards whatever creatures may be lying in waiting.

"So," he said, turning around to glance at the others to ensure they were following, "Tell me. Have either of you fought a Consumed before?"
