So I am pretty confused on breeding. I come from Flight Rising where I take ID's and I can see if a dragon is like closely related. But I dont see ANYWHERE where I can do that here. Is there a way to check lineage closeness? So I dont make another mistake of buying a wolf and finding out their too closely related?

@ashycat yes! You can do this in the Demo (under the Den tab)! You will enter the ID, hit Load Wolf, and then hit Save Current. That puts it in your temporary history (there are 10 pages of wolves you can save and then new one knock the oldest ones out).

Then you can click Preview on two wolves of opposite sex and it will show you potential offspring and the possible color ranges for each gene. If the pair is too closely related, it will show you that instead.

One thing to note is that if you alter anything about a wolf and then save it (so if you load a wolf, change its breed/sex/etc, and then hit Save Current) that wolf will be labeled as “Custom” and will no longer be linked to the actual wolf you loaded, including its lineage. That’s particularly relevant if you’re planning to sex swap a dog to breed, because when you demo the sex swap it will unlink it to the lineage. The best way around this is to try to find a sibling of one of the wolves with the same parents that is already the correct sex to breed - if they are compatible, you’re good to go and can use the custom demo to see what the offspring would look like ❤️
