Family Reunion

Despite being new and having less than 20 wolves, I noticed while trying out pairs that some of my wolves were related - after following the lineage up they all descend in different gens and routes from the same progen pair, Ravenwing and Bearheart (owned by user Bearheart).

G2: Ravenwing/Bearheart > Dawnbreak

her grand ... nephew? R/B > Dovesong > Cabbage > Choi

A distant cousin: Ravenwing/Bearheart > Crocusfur > Soma > Melonie > Ruffles


Funny how different they all look, but maybe there's some resemblance?

New arrival Bumpa is *also* related to Choi! This guy is related to half the wolves on this site I guess. It's amazing I was able to find him a mate. After digging through the generations though I wasn't able to find the connection.

What a happy coincidence (unless they were for a breeding project, in which case I am sorry for your loss)! I ended up realizing similarly that I have a LOT of wolves that are related to the same breeding pair, mostly because I have a very specific aesthetic that I am pursuing. (ᵕ ´ᗜ`)

Luckily I always toss them in the demo to check out pairs before buying - that's how I noticed when the incompatible message kept popping up for Choi lol. It's too bad you can't check same-sex wolves for relatedness that way but since I have males and females from this family I guess I can check either.

Happens more often than not with White wolves. Which is a pain when somehow trying to get a white base with cream/blonde under. Also was sold a Direwolf once that was my progens grandson
