TIL Layering Hacks!!

I've stumbled into a few really fun (but expensive 😭) layering hacks and found a new one by mistake this week and thought I'd share!

My new favorite is Aerofin layering! Here is my wolf Shauna wearing the Icy Aerofin over the Volcanic Aerofin! (She's also layering achievement skirts and sashes, blue over green, which is my other fun layering hack that is so expensive it hurts)

And for reference, this would be her with just the top layers of aerofin, skirt, and sash. The difference is subtle but so worth it.

Please feel free to share more fun layering hacks here, even if it costs me all my materials because it's so good 😭😂💖

And feel free to check out the Demo, Apparel, and CA Previewer tool linked in my signature if you want to experiment with layering expensive items that you don't have immediate access to 😘

Also I think unique pose implementation would fit under this category even if it's not purely layering. Like for example, the Achievement Emblems having a different implementation on Volmyrs (versus the cloth just draped over the wolf for other poses), or the Murkwood Hair having a different implementation on Female Zerdas (versus dangling straight down on other poses). So if there's any of these that you know of I'd love to get some of that inspiration as well!

I LOVE layering! I'll share one of my favorites.... Dires and the Murkwood seasonal stuff was meant to be. This guy is wearing a bit of everything and it's stunning imo. I love the hair with the back fins. I like the contact over the mask. Heck even the little tusk sticking out looks fun with his other big teefers!

Those wolves are both gorgeous! I’ve used the aerofin layering before. It’s lovely. And that Direwolf is fantastic!

Here’s a little layering on one of mine. The maroon hood goes well with Flytraps. I wish the ribs went under the one sash, but that’s okay.

I just remembered another fun hack I use, which is layering contacts over the glowing eyes for a fun eyeshadow effect 😍

An example:

And the lesser cousin hack to that, which is using heterochromatic contacts over the rainbow contacts (I don't have any immediate examples, but sometimes it's better than just the rainbow contacts or heterochromatic and the natural color)

I love how we can layer the armor, the shoulder wraps and the mire hunter saddle and spear to make a rugged, fierce look!

Oh yes, to expand on the awesome layering we can do for our warrior wolves:

I love the achievement hunter furs with all the armors and shoulder wraps. They also layer nicely on some poses with the dangling jewels of the Goldsea belts underneath! For your fanciest warriors.

And then here is Kismet, who is wielding the magical layering technique of the Icerun belt under the spaulder. It looks meant to be. And the sword fits nicely in his belt too!

I'm also showing off three versions of my favorite layering on the site: the chef neck ties with the spiked collars. Padding to keep the collar from chafing while they do battle. 🔥
