Hello!

I'm new to the game. Recently had a wild wolf encounter and I failed it, but this is the first time I saw one and was wondering a few things:

1. Do wild wolves only appear in specific areas?
2. I've gathered that they're randomly generated. Are they usually fairly basic or can they have special tops/unders/accents?

3. Are they limited to certain breeds? For instance, would they only be found as the first 3 breeds you can pick from when starting out?

Just popping in to add that wild wolves also don't appear in the den areas of the campaign, only the swords areas! Also, you can check what the possible encounters are in an area by clicking on it then scrolling down (on the intro/title sort of page, before you hit explore for the first time).

Another tip, when you release a level 10 wolf you'll get an item that exists in the Currency section of your inventory called a Knucklebone. When you get 50 of those, you can do a special level 1 Hunt that will generate a random WW for you, like an egg on FR or whatever.
