Is it a bright sign that JimJim is here? I was starting to think lorwolf would shut down after such a long silence.

Agreed. I had honestly given up on the site a while ago. Seeing the most recent dev post may just bring me back. At least, if there's follow through <3 LW has so much potential.

It remains to be seen if anything substantial will come from it, I am not going to advocate for everything being fixed because of a single update-- we've seen THAT happen like 3 or 4 times now, and pretending to bash your head with a frying pan to forget about it every time it happens is just giving oneself amnesia so as to be disappointed all over again ~6 months later. At some point you just start accumulating T.B.I.'s. :x

But it would be nice to finally see traction, and there seems to be some active level of intention there, so at least there's that, for what that's worth to you? While I'm still not personally interested in spending money on the site 'til a chunk of the important QoL issues are fixed (not just acknowledged, tho there hasn't been much of that either I've noticed), I've obviously still just kinda been here the whole time to see what gets done w/ the just massive amounts of goodwill that the community keeps aggressively piling on them.

Either this time it will be different and everyone can be happy a year or so from now with a site that's getting semi-regular updates, or it'll be the same where there's no comms except for a handful of people hawking massive CA collections to churn MS into FR gems, somehow always at favorable rates to them despite the differences in both sites' health. ;P

I definitely think it's a good sign. In the update, JimJim stated we should expect updates every two months and Guilds come next. ^^

I've always seen any small behaviors behind the scenes as indication the site wasn't shutting down any time soon (seeing Haunt at least start working on the January seasonal apparel, seeing the site come back within 24 hours of the security certificate expiring, etc.) but this is definitely the brightest sign of progress rather than steady-state that we've had in quite a long time 💖🎉 It's funny because @spoot and I used to fully joke every. time. we experienced more lag or site going down for a moment "is this our surprise Chapter 2 update???" 😂 and then it still managed to come out of the blue when we least expected it (well, at least the start of the chapter 2 releases)!

I'm very excited for Guilds, I'm so glad those are next on the agenda!!

The site seemed able to run on its own without a lot of updates needed- while there are various bugs and glitches that I would love to see patched, lovely usermade CA's kept in a steady stream of new items and the Activities loop was pretty much complete and was enough to keep things occupied. I'd say that the site could pretty much function in perpetuity like that. I can see how with a lack of updates, the community would come and go rather than continue to grow at a steady pace like we've seen with FR and other pet sites, but I don't think it was ever really in danger of fully shutting down. The website has consistently been here and online this whole time! Excited to see that things have been worked on in the background, and that Chapter 2 is being actively worked upon!

No, it's not shutting down. Even if had stopped being updated completely, I've seen sites far deader than Lorwolf persist for years. The future of this game is very bright in comparison.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens when the Goldsea Seasonal event rolls around in a few weeks. If there are some new awesome apparel items we can get that’ll give me hope, but if it’s just the same old items and MS, it won’t.
