Sour pulls a sour face and mutters "Why'd it have to be snakes?" She and her matching Waylaid Pincher arrive bringing 2 Assailant, 1 Protector, 1 Duelist, 1 Primal and 1 Assassin.
@Dawntalon Cinnamon and his Crested Snowloon heard about the Consumed Hydra during their travels and decided to investigate. Cinnamon led the way as their Snowloon followed overhead. Navigating through the misty corridors of the Corrupted Spring, they finally arrive at the battle. Seeing a fellow Direwolf single-handedly defeat one of the hydra heads, Cinnamon charged in to prove their worth. The lupins barked something at Cinnamon, but he was too caught up in the heat of battle to listen. With a furious blow, he felled one of the wounded hydra heads. But to his horror, the Hydra immediately regrew two more heads. Caught by surprise, he was hurled away by the mighty swing of the Hydra's tail. His Snowloon tried to offer support from above, but the mist was too thick for them to see what was going on.

Upon reaching the outskirts of the Corrupted Spring, Desmond pauses for a moment, hoping to hear where to go, while his Basido companion leaps onto his back. Braving the mist, Desmond dashes forward, seeking the monster. Guided by the sounds of battle, Desmond eventually arrives at the shallow lake. The Hydra writhes around a small islet where four puppies cower. The Hydra, boasting four heads now, lashes out in every direction, keeping the other fighting lorwolves busy. He charges into battle but hears a Lupine bark out about the Hydra's regeneration. Keenly aware of the issue, he rushes to fight alongside the Direwolves. The powerful Direwolves rip and tear with abandon and quickly defeat another head. Two more heads quickly grow to replace it, but Desmond, with a flick of his head, hurls his Basido companion. Upon impact, his Basido releases a shower of toxins. The Hydra shrieks as one of the growing heads shrinks and is eventually reabsorbed into the Hydra!

Arriving at the Corrupted Spring, Northlight follows his illuminating Moonlit Vulpactia through the dense mist. Journeying through the blighted landscape, they hear the sounds of battle in the distance and sprint forward, eventually reaching the clearing where the battle is being fought. Northlight rushes into battle hoping to draw the attention of one of the Hydra's heads. A freshly regrown hydra head turns its attention to Northlight and lunges forward to bite him. Northlight's Moonlit Vulpactia swoops in and glows brilliantly briefly enough to blind the Hydra causing it to miss. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, Northlight pounces high into the air and delivers a powerful blow. Purposely holding back just enough so that the head can easily be defeated when necessary.

Knowing Murkwood like the back of his paw, he and his companion swiftly make it to the Corrupted Spring. With not a moment to lose, Conor dashes through the mist seeking out the battle. In moments, he arrives, seeing the lorewolf hunters locked in a fierce battle with the Consumed Hydra. Conor roars and charges in, confident that he will bring down the foe. His Lupin allies bark at him to wait, but fortune favors the brave, and he ignores their barks. His companion sprints ahead, acting as bait for the hydra. The Hydra, falling for the trap, lunges at Kuzma, who nimbly dodges away. Conor pounces upon the head and, with a powerful bite, severs it. The hydra coils back and, with its winding tail, smacks Conor away while it slowly regrows two additional heads. The Lupins and their companions move to poison the regrowing heads but are too late. The now five-headed beast lashes out in all directions!

x2 x1 x1 x1 x1@TinTans Sour's fur rises, and she shivers hearing that the monster is a hydra. She gulps, as she dreads anything snake-like, but she musters the courage to accept the bounty. She recounts a story her den mother once told her, about the Rodill and the Bovius, whose moral was that even the smallest and most pitiful of actions can still have large and impactful results. Knowing she won't be as useful as stronger warriors, she decided that her presence will at least provide some help. Before heading out, she decided to bring her matching Waylaid Pincher. The two seamlessly trekked through Murkwood and made it to the Corrupted Spring. Seeing the misty, blighted landscape, her anxiety began to build, but after a deep breath, she continued on and eventually reached the battle. The battle was in full swing, the Hydra seemingly appearing to be winning, as it boasted five heads instead of three, and the lorwolf hunters were fighting independently. Seeing the writhing multi-headed hydra causes Sour's stomach to turn, and her legs begin to shake. Her companion nudges her to check if she is okay, and she nods. Shaking off the nausea and fear, Sour focuses on the task at hand and enters the fray.
Sour rushes to enter the fight, but with every step closer to the monster, the slower and more scared she becomes. Finally reaching striking distance of the Hydra, she freezes. Other lorwolves call out to her, and she knew she had to move but couldn't. Eventually, the hydra, noticing her immobilization, swung its tail to crush her. At the last second, a fellow lorwolf knocked her aside but was crushed in the process. Regaining her senses, she, with the help of her companion, pulls back the injured lorwolf. Seeing what happened, other lorwolves bark at her to leave before she hurts anyone else. Embarrassed and ashamed, she turns to leave, but she hears the whimpers of the puppies in the clutches of the hydra. She remembers the story her den mother told her and muses that she might not be strong enough to face the hydra, but that doesn't make her weak enough to not fight it. Mustering her courage, she lets loose a mighty howl. Some lorwolves glare at her, but seeing a change in her composure, heed her call.
The Lupins answered her call and withdrew to regroup, while the Direwolves ignored it and continued fighting. Unexpectedly, this worked in the hunters' favor, as the Direwolves kept the hydra's attention while the Lupins discussed strategy. After a brief moment of discussion, a plan of action was formed. The lupins and their companions would divide evenly between the Direwolves and fight in support, while Sour, her companion, and any too-injured lorwolves would stay back and rest or, in Sour's case, give commands.
The five-headed monster faced off against the three-pronged assault of the lorwolves. The battle slowly began tipping back in the lorwolves favor. The hunters could capitalize on the Direwolves vicious attacks by negating the hydra's regeneration, utilizing their companions' poison abilities. Everything was going well till the Hydra noticed that hunters were fighting so well in unison due to Sour's commands. Noticing this, the hydra buffeted the hunters away with a mighty sweep of its tail and slithered up to Sour. Seeing the swirling writhing mass of the monster, panic paralyzes Sour. But before it could take hold, she cried out for her companion. The other hunters, seeing her in distress, try to intervene but are too far away. The hydra's heads surged down in rapid succession in a pummeling assault, leaving only a cloud of dust.
The onlooking lorwolves cry out, but a gentle breeze blows away the dust cloud, revealing Sour, unharmed, cowering under her Waylaid Pincher, whose cactus bloom was bare of needles. The hydra howled in pain as every head was covered in numerous needles. Seeing that her plan worked, Sour peeked out from under her companion and gave the signal howl. Not wasting a moment, all the lorwolf hunters charged in. The hydra's heads regrew and withered away in rapid succession as the lorwolf onslaught and poison from their companions escalated. Slowly the hunters beat back the hydra, with its numerous heads dwindling from five to four, then four to three, then three to two, and finally, with Sour's Waylaid Pincher's mighty constricting grip, two to one!

With her companion in tow, she easily navigates the misty maze of the Corrupted Spring and finds the battle. As Stormy rushes to join the fight, she sees all the lorwolves fighting in unison and the hydra slowly losing heads from five to one. Ready to participate, Stormy seamlessly slips into one of the fighting groups and delivers a powerful blow, while her companion's needles and constricting grip prevent any further hydra heads from growing.

@TinTans Cae hears about the missing puppies, and together with his Sawtooth Snapper and Diaphonized Mudpuppy, they decide to help out. They quickly travel through Murkwood and brave the misty expanse of the Corrupted Spring till they reach the battle. There, Cae's Diaphonized Mudpuppy sits back and watches as he and his Sawtooth Snapper charge headlong in to defeat the weakened hydra. Using his Sawtooth Snapper as a springboard, Cae is launched high into the air, allowing him to deliver a fearsome blow.
