So... I'm wondering about making an adoptable thing, mostly because I need more MS (this is Attempt Number 3 at doing so for this particular CA-grind, the other attempts are here (CA swap) and here (flea market listings)) but also because I'd think it would be fun, particularly if I do more than just sell them. Using a base, though, I do not particularly want to suffer... Well, there are three tiers that affect base usage, and every batch will have all three tiers- 1 MS Basics that only use the base (heh, pun), 2 MS ones that don't currently have a name, but will have some accessories added onto the base (but don't really change the underlying lines), and 4 MS ones that also don't currently have a name, but will massively edit the base in some way, or maybe even just... not use it! Maybe I could make that another, higher tier...
I've seen adoptables around, but nothing that's not a bit inactive (the earliest of them that is actually similar to what I'm doing, from what I can tell, was last active on the first of August, last year- around 10 months ago, or two months from a full year), other than a different adoptable interest check (that I am interested in and will probably sink some MS into... plus it kinda inspired me doing this).
Anyways, rambling aside, would anyone be interested in them?
And you may have noticed that I'm being somewhat vague here, and that's a bit on purpose, because I want your input on it, if you're interested! I can't make a traditional form, for reasons, but, here...
A question form!
- What animals would you like to see?: (My own options are fox, cat, dragon, and maybe griffin or kitsune! You can ask for something else, but I'm best at drawing those. Can you tell this was meant to be a regular form? Also! Wolves are gonna be a bit... banned. This is a wolf petsite, it wouldn't make sense to me to sell wolf adopts)
- What general genre would you like?: (Fantasy, superhero, modern, sci-fi, etc. Not sure what this really does, but I will include it somehow)
- How many adoptables should I do in a batch?: (I'd think anywhere from 5 to 10 would be good)
- How many differently-posed bases should I do (different poses for sitting, laying down, standing, etc.)?: (1 to 3)
- Should I include more "species" than just one? And, if so, would you want me to stick with a single animal or do multiple?:
- Should I include a name, general lore, or both for each adoptable?:
- Should I do themed batches (stars, oceans, birds, seasons, and more nebulous things such as new beginnings- possibly even pack-themed ones that repeat with each Seasonal, though I'd eventually run out of ideas. I will occasionally repeat regular themes, too)?:
- Would you be interested in doing more than just buying an adoptable, such as art and writing challenges, helping build out these characters' world, competitions and raffles, maybe even achievements, etc?: (A comment on this, not the options (those are a simple yes/no, maybe a maybe in there too): I don't want this to be a thing where you buy an adoptable, only for it to rot somewhere, and I think you probably don't want that either (it would feel like wasted MS, wouldn't it?). I want you guys to actually use the things I made somehow, and this would be the easiest way to do so!)
