“Dialogue Box” Portrait Sketches

I’m planning on reviving an old idea of mine, and to do so I need to draw a certain character a couple times for it- dialogue box portraits, for lack of a better term.

Here’s the sketches I currently have for them! Are they easily readable for the emotions I want them to portray, do I need to make any more portraits, etc?
