I had the misfortune of running into a wild wolf after hours of refreshing, successfully claimed it- but my den was full so it vanished. If a small warning could pop up somewhere letting me know this interaction WILL fail if I don't have space, I might have been able to unlock a slot before this happened.
It was painful enough grinding for hours, but to see the success message followed by a “but not actually” was a real gut punch!

Massive yes to this, please! I also had this happen to me yesterday after finally and successfully catching a wolf, just for it to run off. It was heartbreaking to spend all of that time so focused on grinding the campaign, running around doing other activities that I didn't even notice.
I already have timers set for hunting, farming, cooking, mining, and fishing. It's just hard to keep track of everything AND how much den space I have.
This happened to me just now and it is INFURIATING. I was grinding for 30 plus minutes for one and didn't know my slots were full at the time.
Also: if and when the token system is introduced, successful LW encounters should become a token if you have a full lair
I think I would cry if this happened to me ahahaaaaaaa
support and i like minim's idea of successful ww encounters with a full den becoming a token. it's only fair

I also had a suggestion for this: Perhaps the WW still gets accepted, but it's put into temporary holding until you have the space for it.

Also, bumping this as I just ran into this issue. Finally had a successful WW encounter only to scroll to the bottom to see in bright red text stating the WW could not join since my den is full..
