I noticed this during early release too, but I wish there's a way to better gain exp
Yeah gaining xp grows as you level your wolves, but when I fight a bear I ALWAYS get 1 xp, despite the bear being lv.6 and my wolves are lv.3
If xp gain was your opponent's level x2 then fighting a bear would be much better to fight rather than getting a singular jar of oil that I have no clue to do with rather than replenish my wolf's energy
It would also make xp grinding for earlier levels be much better since it's only 1xp per fight when you're lv.1
Edit: I realized now that I'm at lv.4, I get 2 xp during each battle (except the bear) and that's a tad annoying for grinding xp
