[ Dew droplets fall from your chin as you push through saturated ferns into the clearing beyond; the sound of rushing water fills your ears, and both the sound, and the humidity, masks the activity of wolves on the other side. You stop, ears perking as a voice calls out, “Halt!” followed by the skulking figure of a shadow making its way towards you, strides long across the sun-speckled forest floor. You look up into ebony eyes and merled white fur as he approaches; scars and a set jaw upon the wolf's square muzzle are notable. “State your business.” ]

[ You introduce yourself with some hesitance, explaining your reasoning for being here— whatever that may be. ]

[ The waterfall almost drowns out your voice; curious eyes from wolven silhouettes nestled at the entrance of cliff-side tunnels look upon you while you explain. As you speak, the wolf's shoulders gradually relax; his tensed jaw loosens; and his ears start to lift. He seems to accept that you are not a threat. “Well, you have stumbled upon the Duskstalkers; beneath Mika's shadow we are one. I am Oriens.” He dips his head to you. “You may rest by the water, for now… but take care if you explore the camp; the rocks are slippery...” ]

[ The Duskstalker Mercenaries are a peculiar band of warriors; they are oft trained in multiple combative arts of stealth, skirmish, and deadly eloquence; using the shadows cast in their environment to their advantage. It seems, as Oriens tells you, that the Duskstalkers are opening their doors to recruits in training— sharing some of their combative basics with wolves from all allegiances— as chaos begins to ring out across Loria. If they are willing to make the journey, the Duskstalkers are willing to offer them training— as a means of defense for both themselves, and those they care for— some Duskstalkers may even be willing to make permanent journeys out to each corner of the land, to join packs seeking strong, helping paws... ]
