The top is silver ore. The bottom is moonstone ore. I am begging for these to be more visually distinct. I can't tell the difference unless I lean in really close.

Pleeeeeeease. I need to lean close and squint if I want to tell them apart. More contrast between them is needed.
No but seriously, one of the two really need to be changed haha they are too similar
Oh gosh that is terrible, what on earth. Glad I haven't gotten to higher levels yet because that must so so annoying, those are literally identical!! :'] Yeah one of those really needs to be changed. Actually it might be best if both were changed a bit, maybe silver to be slightly darker, and moonstones to be bluer?
The difference is really small indeed. Maybe seeing as moonstone is a lot different then any other ore, the rock part could instead be colored differently? It will make it more eye-catching and signals it isn't like others ores that can become wheels/pickaxes
I always thought it would make sense to make the moonstone ore look more like regular moonstone shards, since that's basically what it is.
Compared to all the normal ores, you don't need multiple ms-ores to get a single ms-shard (1 ms-ore = 1 ms-shard). I think I vaguely remember some people being confused by this waaaay back at the beginning of the Beta-test.
So making to ms-ore look more like ms-shards would make them clearly distinct from every other ore and also make it more obvious that they don't work the exact same way as normal ores.
XD I agree
Slap some sparkles on the moonstone ore lmao
Sparkle sparkle!
Personally I would much rather the remove the moonstone ore as it is now entirely, and just add a random chance to get a moonstone shard when smelting, same way it happens with cooking and crafting. While a moonstone shard is nice, it also means I am going to have to drag 4 unmelted ores back and forth at least 2 trips, before I can get a multiple of 5 and melt them down. By removing the ore, you also immediately remove the issue with the lack if visual difference with silver ore.
Yeah, i agree, i'd like some visual indication that'd set it apart from other ores
Maybe slap a lil sparkle on it or something so it's Obviously Special
I feel like I remember this being an issue in beta, massive support on either having a more distinct moonstone ore or just giving a shard like the other professions!!
still waiting for movement on this little thing. i have nearly dropped it more than once trying to cultivate my mining cart.
