As it says on the title: I'd love to have the option to use keyboard as input in fishing instead of clicking with a mouse. I have hand tremors which make fishing with mouse much harder than I feel it should be and I end up missing a lot of the fish because of my mouse coordination. I find it annoying to swap to mobile just for easier fishing. I feel like having the possibility to use the keyboard, i.e. spacebard, for fishing instead of mouse would be amazing accessibility-wise.
I'm not saying that the clicking should be removed, I'm just hoping that there'd be alternative input methods to choose from, other than completely switching between platforms / devices (i.e. from pc to touchpad).

This… sounds like a good idea, but I honestly have no idea how you’d execute it? WASD with the mouse or something?

I love this idea! I'm always in favour of more keyboard controls (I very easily get sore wrists if I use my mouse to much).

In my mind it could work (I can't think of a better comparison) like quick-time events:

So, since each fishing area has a set amount of possible ripple locations, that are always in the same place, you could assigne each location to a key (for example W, A, D for the three ripples in the first area). It would always be the same key for the same ripple and the key-promt would show up together with said ripple.

If you do something like this, there should also be an option to “not show keyboard controlls” for players that either don't want to see them, because they use a mouse or because they already learned them by heart and just don't need them anymore.

The keyboard controlls should also just not show up when playing on mobile (or at least be turned off by default there. In case there are people who use a keyboard with their tablets or something like that and want to turn them on.)
