I think its a little silly that the ks familiars can still be found and fought after clearing chapters for the campaign. I’m all for being able to find bosses to fight and get drops from, but considering Most other encounters can drop their familiar counterpart and these cant, it feels weird being able to encounter them to begin with. Same with the grimalkin.

@Kumatora encounters can't drop companions, if you have an extra companion, you got it from marvin or as a story reward

Regardless of whether enemies in the campaign drop their companion counterpart as loot, most of them are available some way or another. I agree that using KS companions in the campaign is confusing. I can't quite put my finger on why it feels wrong, but it does. It would feel cleaner if ‘regular’ companions only were found in the campaign. It would also open up the ability to let enemies drop their companion item again. I still don't understand why that feature was removed as beta, but I will say it is quite boring having to buy everything. Let me hunt for things. But I guess that's a different discussion.
