Releasing Wolves Incentives- Knucklebones?

Sooo, I really wanted to speedrun getting the glorious Hat Lizard from the Hunting Holiday. I figured “oh, I'm 50 away, I wonder if I could release 50 cheap wolves on the market and grab it-” then realized there is a maximum one ticket per day for releasing wolves. Tickets feel absolutely pointless as a reward when they're capped so substantially (only 7 extra per weekly event maximum).

I see other suggestions like moonstones/shards for releasing wolves, but considering the new Knucklebones system is in place, why not make Knucklebones the reward? You get (1) per released wolf no matter what and that's (50) released wolves + 15kpebbles into getting a new Wild Wolf.

Sounds pretty good to me, especially when players could split the difference between campaign earned knucklebones and those acquired from releasing wolves. I think players would be much happier to release their unwanted wolves if they had a promise at a new gen1 pull eventually.

Curious if we could solve one problem with another, here. Figured I'd throw this out for people to chew on.

I definitely like this as an additional incentive to releasing wolves. Right now, there's not really strong reasons to release them.

(The degenerate situation where you could just keep releasing them for tickets … might be good, honestly, now that the sell prices of the trinkets sold by each of the camps are a lot less. Hard to make back money from buying & releasing cheap puppies that way. But that's another thing again!)

I like it. In general releasing wolves should be more incentivised. More pebbles when the level is higher, perhaps also a higher chance at moonstone shards and knucklebones when the level is higher. And not a cap of 1 per day! I don't mind it if not every released wolf gives you a shard, ticket or token, but the payout for releasing should be so much better than it is now. I think having all 3 (tickets, shards and tokens) as a potential extra drop from releasing, would be neat.

(I say extra, because I feel it should be a bonus, and not an ‘instead of pebbles’ kind of thing.)

Agreed with Gaia! More incentives to release wolves in general would be great, and I think increasing reward payout the higher the level the wolf is at release can give that little extra something for players to work on (I can grind for food at a lower level area/use them in hunting trips and other exp-gaining activities and level a wolf to release for more payout later!) and not feel so bad when they cant get a high level wolf to sell!

Agreed there needs to be more incentive to release wolves. They take a while to level up and you're basically getting scraps. I think adding ms shards and knucklebones would help so much. I think pebble rewards should also be increased dare I say 5x as much as they are now. 500p gets you nothing. 25kp for a level 10 seems much more reasonable. Unless pebbles get more use in the future which is a topic for another suggestion

Support, also it being capped at 1 per day makes it feel like it does nothing in the long run. It would take about 5 runs of the event to get every companion in said event, which would only amount to 35 extra tickets if you were trying to get them early. That means the only thing the extra daily ticket is useful for would be trinkets or event specialties, which I guess if you are strapped for some items might be useful. But honestly one per day seems like a completely negligible amount for the time span we are looking at for event reruns.

Moonstone shards, knucklebone tokens, and event vouchers should all be chances at dropping when releasing wolves (with the exception of vouchers which should always drop). Otherwise you could very easily just grab a few random wolves, breed them infinitely, and just farm tokens over and over, which defeats the purpose of this. The amounts can scale with level, with maybe something like…

For every 10 levels, you get +1 moonstone shard and knucklebone token. So, if you release a level 11 wolf and they drop both shards and knucklebone tokens, you get 2 shards and 2 tokens.

For every level, you get +1 voucher. So, again, our level 11 wolf friend gives us 11 vouchers. Honestly there's no reason vouchers should even be limited especially if we assume that their offerings will be expanding every so often with new companions and apparel, so there should be a way to farm them.
