I don't know if anyone has suggested these breeds, but if so I apologize and swear I didn't mean to take your idea.

For breeds what about a dragon/wolf? with dragon wings and a dragon tail... with scales on the tail but some fur at where the tail and body meet? like the furr slowly fades to scales.

A wolf with angel-like feathered wings or hummingbird wings

wolf with 3 tails and perhaps something like one small horn behind each ear like a baby goat's horn to make it different or with a lion's mane

a butterfly wolf with a long, curving thin tail that is like a chameleons tail but has fur on it and butterfly wings?

one of the poses for the final stages could be wings out and head looking straight out of the screen, paws bent at the joints to be folded down, like a puppy's paws when they're on their backs for tummy rubs or what you'd think of for a begging puppy.

A gene that covers almost the entire base coat (maybe like an opposite merle sorta deal, leaves patches of the base coat out)

I'll list a few thoughts I've had, some of these have definitely been suggested by others so in that case count me as another "vote" (I know the suggestions thread doesn't work by votes) towards their suggestions!

Breeds:

A dragon-type or lizard-type wolf, it'd just make sense! I don't know exactly how new breed releases work but they could be released with a pattern set that's horns and a scale-like fur pattern even on wolves of other breeds (like how there's a breed based on maned wolves and a maned wolf pattern set), that could be fun.
Some kind of sighthound, greyhound or borzoi or the like, sighthounds are one of the more uniquely shaped Types of dog that it'd still make sense to call a lorwolf xD (Although I am not opposed to more "dog" breed type breeds being added! I would not complain about a corgi or a chihuahua type breed being added either!)
Alternatively (or, well, additionally) massively fluffy Tibetan mastiff type breed! Enormous fluff!
Merwolf or aquatic wolf? Maybe some kinda sharkwolf (play on "dogfish")? Wolf with fins and a fish tail?

Patterns:

Thylacine patterning, I know we already have Stripes but thylacine stripes are different and it'd be cool
Brindling, I had to double check because I couldn't believe that wasn't a pattern already
Aforementioned big horns + scales pattern, similar to fawn with the antlers
Freaky patchwork Frankenstein pattern with big stitches and patches of different color/patterning! (PG/nongraphic) zombie wolves!
More topcoats and undercoats that still have distinct patterns, that's my favorite part of stripes how every coat is stripes and not just the accent and I'd love more pattern sets where the pattern goes all the way down like that.
