Since fishing is time locked, I tend to have to wait a very long time to complete it, since it takes two fishing trips to even complete the activity. I want to propose lowering the fish needed to catch from 15 to 10 or 8, so that it can be done in one fishing trip, thus only requiring a 30 minute wait rather than an hour wait. None of the other activities even come close to the wait requirement for fishing.

I second this. Fishing does tend to get stuck on the activities list for a LONG time compared to the others. The only thing that comes close is farming if you are doing only higher level crops. But even then, you could do one corn and have the others be crops with longer grow times in order to get the activities done more quickly.

I support this. It's the only activity that is listed as such beyond mining.

support! maybe it could be changed to “0/1 Fishing Trip”, since the number of fish per trip isn't consistent due to ms shard/material drops

A few days ago I was griping about this exact thing. It drives me nuts that I need to do two fishing trips to complete the Activity. It takes longer than any other activity by a lot. I want to support a suggestion to lower the number of fish required for the Activity, but…

Then I got to the level 12 and unlocked Backwoods Brook. The fish jump faster there, resulting in more catches per trip. I went from 6-8 fish per trip to always 10 or more. I'm still doing 2 fishing trips, but it does suggest that the amount of fish you can catch per trip increases as you get to higher level zones.

The next zone unlocks at level 35, which is quite a hike from 12. But there's the Fishing: Winter Stream encounter in Icerun 2 that unlocks at Fishing level 20 that gives big fish rewards, so it's a good half way point to strive for. At the level 35 zone, can 15 fish be caught in a single trip? I have a feeling it might be. I'm only level 14 right now, I can't confirm, but it seems reasonable if the trend continues.

While having to do 2 trips to complete the Activity currently is annoying, it also makes me do more trips when I otherwise might not. I'm also getting more exp per Activity than it calls for - Exp is granted per fish, not per trip, so exp gain continues after the 15 fish required have been reached provided you don't navigate away. I don't enjoy the Fishing game so I appreciate the aid in leveling that's being asked of me.

Support! I just posted another fishing suggestion thread along these lines. I would be happy with the requirement being lowered, or with non-fish catches contributing to the total. Maybe both.

As someone who had to just do a third round because I kept getting items instead of fish (I got over 10 items! Why!), support. A smaller amount, like 10, would be nicer. Or even a “fishing trip” like someone mentioned above.

Support, especially for the 0/1 fishing trip instead. That seems like a perfect solution, especially since getting items/ms can really mess with the progress on that activity. 1 trip guarantees it will be done no matter what your luck/rng is.

Support. You can get, at most, 13 fish before level 35 (presumably it's 15+ by then), and getting to that point takes so long because the amount of experience you can get is basically capped at a very low amount.
