I hate to be this person, but Reanimagpie has asked not to be pinged any further. I understand everyone is trying to have a discussion with him but he's stated that the thread has become tiring and at the very least, it should be respected, since there's no way to mute notifications.


back on topic though, i generally agree with coelacanis' post as well. there are things that should not cost moonstones, and things that cause direct game progression, like professions, are some of those things. the game needs more pebble sinks in order for the economy to function, right now there is really not enough to spend a sizable amount of pebbles on. right now they're just. so useless. it kinda hurts.

Seems like lots of people quite hate how only MS can unlock gameplay perks. I think the biggest immediate issue is the optics, because right now people are still buying pebbles with moonstones (probably just for den expansions or maybe mole market supplies) but yes it has the potential to spiral out of control in the future.

I think given that the site already launched and people might have already bought moonstones for those expansions, the most feasible alternative is to just add new pebble upgrades. It will just be two different upgrade systems and one will be pebbles only, the other moonstones only. I don't think it is overly OP to add some additional space to the mining cart or cooking pot but maybe some other kind of buff could be considered. For the den, they can add new pebble expansion tabs in the future.

The other easy fix is to introduce additional pebble apparel, genes, and breed changes. I personally hate the “dragon high fashion” on Flight Rising but I understand that it is important to a lot of people. I saw the screenshot saying that they don't want to focus on “wolf high fashion” but I think they need to add more apparel items in some way. One possibility is to introduce periodic apparel contests like the skin contests on FR where users submit designs and the winners are chosen to be site wide items. (Of course they can also be held for the weekly ‘festivals’ as well). The mole market system will also prove to be way too limiting in the long run if more pebble clothing is introduced but it's also easy to fix if they just add a ton more new clothing with every refresh. Personally I think it is glaring that there seems to be no pebble full background you can buy, those are custom apparel only

Everything was said perfectly by everyone else. Changes need to be made sooner rather than later. It won't be time to act when they will inevitably start losing players.

I was way more active on the site during the open beta because the expansions and apparel slots weren't for moonstones. It made things feel more accessible and obtainable already, now that those things are monetized and overall there's quite little change since the open beta I am starting to find the “choke” point of where I am pressured into spending money.

I am a college student and the costs for studies are quite high. I can't afford to spend money on games and such. It's true for many players. This is not a way to keep a self-sustaining site going.

others have already said in far more detail and far more eloquently than i can, so i'll keep it short.

changes really need to be made, and sooner rather than later. while some things may be considered a matter of convenience, others are…pretty essential to the entire point of the game.

i'm simply not able to spend money on lorwolf, and i don't see that changing in the foreseeable future. as such, playing in early access was a lot of fun due to many things being available for pebbles. coming back upon launch and finding some of the most necessary things for gameplay requiring MS was deeply disappointing and put an enormous damper on my excitement and enthusiasm for the site as a whole. it feels like after a certain point, i'm simply going to be unable to play anymore without paying real money.

Resurrecting this as it NEEDS to still be talked about/supported. With the latest highly unsatisfying July patch adding other issues and nothing about the moonstone issue, we need to keep this up near the front.


We can't let this issure fizzle out kd the devs might think the problem will go away if they quietly ignore it.

Another month, still not a word about this issue.

I get it that they are planning more pebbles apparels and MS achievement rewards, and the June companions and rainbow apparels were probably their way to "address the issue" as Quiche said but...it doesn't feel like it's enough?

I'd like some kind of real communication about this, like "we know there's this issue and this is what we'll do about it" or even "we don't think there's actually an issue at all" would be better than this. At least it would be clear.
