@WolfByte

Yes, I had noticed that as well, but to be honest, I don't find it to be a sufficient addressal. I agree that it should have been talked about more explicitly, and while I also agree that this is definitely a step in the right direction, I also think that this is extremely underwhelming considering what Quiche had told us in response to the suggestion threads about the economy.

For example, while the hiring of Koda and the furnace in Mining do cost pebbles, it's such a small amount that I don't think it'd put a dent in the ever-growing inflation. The apparel and companions for pebbles are nice, but again, it's kind of minor to the massive power MS still has right now. It's also questionable whether these apparel/companions will have any staying power, since you would think people would buy them a few times and then stop, or not at all if it's not their thing. They're not as important as expansions and the hype will die down and pebbles will inflate again. It's a temporary bandaid and not a longterm solution, which is what everyone has been asking for.

I don't consider this a proper addressal, which is what I had expected from Quiche's reassurance.

Glad to see the Stoke feature added! I do have a question about whether the price will continue to increase every time this feature is used? It seemed really worth it to use it at first, but it just doesn't seem like it would be worth it past a certain point, unless it also offered a greater level of efficiency as the price goes up.

That's just my take, but I'm curious to see what others think!

Edit: I know it resets with the shop, but I dunno, I still feel like its benefits are so limited...

@Jinoga

I completely agree. I guess Iā€™m just being a bit too positive because Iā€™m worried. Iā€™m very much hoping that something more will come out.

I respect that and envy you for your positivity, I wish I was more positive nowadays about this, but I'm just getting tired. Let's both hope for the best!

Though I do understand what you are saying there is more coming. For instance we have achievements that will be giving moonstones as part of their rewards. This will be in straight help with the moonstone expansions. Just as some of these pebbles are 1 time, the expansions for moonstones are once done that is all. Once players have the moonstones from achievements as well as regular gameplay the expansions can be done and over with; there will be less that will required moonstones.

The continues new items being pebbles focus will help to even other things out and keep the new shiny feel towards pebbles and off moonstones.

There would be no singular update to fix such a big problem we have at the start, but this is a very good first step. The amount required increases each time you do the profession buffs meaning it continues on being a sink. Also as long as you buff it also helps to even out the expansion "advantage" since the buffs increase the amount and speed for cooking and maximizes the space of ores you have. Making expansions more a convince over a have to have.

@Alanna

My trust in LW staff is wearing thin, and considering how little we actually know about achievements, I'm not entirely satisfied with that as a solution either. How many achievements will there be? How many MS will the user be rewarded? How does this actively play a part in helping alleviate the economic concerns? None of this is addressed, and I'm not holding my breath for it to be the solution, not after the WW token and Campaign nerf fiasco.

Again, all of this is probably to alleviate concerns with the economy, and yeah it may help, but it is the lack of communication regarding this topic that is most bothersome. Things are coming, I know that, but how does that address the concerns we have right now? Quiche had told us that these issues would be addressed in the dev update, and the dev update in regards to this is essentially just "more is coming". And yeah, I'm excited for more stuff, but... This isn't what anyone had in mind for an address.

I wasn't expecting the economy to be magically fixed overnight, but I was expecting more of a direct statement about it as well as a more concrete outlined approach to the issue. This feels like a technicality, of "oh yeah we added more stuff for pebbles that was a part of what people had been asking for, right? yep, consider it addressed!" but it feels like the core problem has been ignored/left to sit for longer. Again.

If the "misc" section items are only available as monthlies or something (which is sort of implied with all the pride stuff coming out in that section), the pets alone will be pretty big pebble sinks because a lot of people will buy as many as they can for resale later in the year. The sparklequills should cost 200k apiece going by the sale-to-vendor price. See: https://www.lorwolf.com/Companions?id=726

@Alaunis - can you please address the mining/fishing encounter changes? we've been waiting to hear about them for 10 days and it appears there maybe was another hidden change in this update?

Wondering why the new items in the Mole Mark are under a category called "Miscellaneous Items". I know this is a relatively small detail, but it makes the Mole Market feel even more disorganized.

These aren't really miscellaneous items... Seasonal or limited is probably a more appropriate word? Or New??

The pride related items I can understand being in a separate category as they are likely seasonal (unless they're not?), but why are the new companions also here...?

It's really confusing. Are new items in the market always going to be in their own section like this?

Thank you! I'm glad to see all the little changes. I think the only thing I'm not happy with is that the activities at the top of the page looks a little weird now. Maybe we could have a single box that contains both sections, if the previous one felt too cluttered? Now they're just floating indistinctly in the void, and it makes it a little hard to actually pay attention to them.
