Exactly as the title says, just worded a little less awkward. When growing, say corn, rather than just corn you can sometimes get the rainbow corn as well when you harvest it.
This means you're still dependent on the RNG, but also less dependent on solely the mole market for some of these fun colors.
I agree; it seems weird that the recolors of the farming veggies don't drop from farming and it needs more interesting elements.
As another bonus it encourages people to farm more than just one thing!
support! having the alternatives only pop on the MM once in a blue moon doesn't help make recipes. I haven't seen twinkling broccoli in weeks.
