hoo boy my friends life's been kinda wild, sorry for letting the thread go silent for so long, but I'm here with a new discussion topic, and ALSO some ideas to float past everyone :)

Firstly, I really wanna start some games and contests here, to hopefully drum up some more thread activity and give folks something fun to participate in!

My ideas thus far have been a Demo contest (thought it'd be fun to see what everyone thinks Korvo looked like before Chaos got all over him) but I'm worried that would be too subjective to judge, so I'd love some ideas in regards to that!

ALSO, some art or writing contests would be a lot of fun also, and I could gather a panel of judges so it's not just me choosing my personal favourite!

I'd love to know what y'all would find fun and engaging, and also what sorts of prizes you'd like to see!I've got an extra pair of snowloons and Zapscour I could include as prizes for whatever we do first :)

What do you think Mistvale looks like right now, in present lore? I haven't been able to find anything canon or concrete about its current state, so let's hear what y'all think!

Are there still horrific creatures roaming around?

Is it just a dark and cursed area, off limits more from habit than any concrete danger?

I think Mistvale is like,, a scary forest right now. Swampy and, well, it's got spooky fog. All the critters have glowing eyes and are always drooling, but act normal. They aren't mean, just a little scary.

Pretty much if you look up "scary foggy forest" that's what I'm thinking :P

It probably looks like that oasis we saw in our campaign dream, but since our boy is coming out soon, it will probably start fading/ becoming goopier and darker like a swamp.

On another note, what do you guys think happened to the Mistvale wolves as Chaos took over Mistvale?

I'm imagining it looks more... normal on the borders with the other territories and just unnervingly quiet throughout, like there's no wildlife to be found. And as you get closer to the lake, it slowly gets darker, spookier, and night tends to bring fog with it, especially around the lake. Still absent of life (except for the occasional plaguebeast).

I like that a lot, the idea that you could accidentally wander too deep into Mistvale and not realize until it's too late hehe

Also - to address the games and contests thing,, if you ever hold a raffle I can provide a prize or two,, I know I’m going to get an extra Seaborne Thrasher later :3

I imagine Mistvale still very spooky and dark, but once you get to the center of the pool very beautiful and strangely calm. Because in the campaign map, there's little glow in the middle and I based my new lore around it lol

Also I'd like a Demo or writing contest! Sounds really fun for my not very high art skills :3

I’m also partial to the idea that Mistvale is kinda eerily peaceful right now in a way, and the lake is looking like it does in the campaign dreams - or it’s starting to get to that point.

I’d also be down for some kinda writing contest or even an art one! Maybe simultaneous or one and then the other so all skill sets can participate? Demo would be fun once we have some more genes to play with!
