I think would be neat if there was a system for group events, like fish the most within a week and the top 3 groups get some prizes; or even for the month. Get some MS as 1st place, pebbles for 2nd and 3rd get some random trinkets. This, in theory, would help the game be less p2w since MS would be easier to access while giving some sense of comradery among players.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'group' exactly tbh
If you mean Entire Clans then MS is far too much as you would be giving 3/4 of the entire playerbase extra MS and that can lead to extreme inflation overnight. [leaving just one out of all clans no rewards at all also feels very unfair]
If you mean more like smaller player groups, maybe? But I'm not sure if it'd necessarily help the pay to win feeling to have a leaderboard, it always does the opposite as players with more resources inevitably dominate it anyway and mandatory social features are gonna make that gameplay inaccessible to many [and random squad collaboration tends to Suck]
Maybe have them work like the pageant could work to go with the activities? If that's what you meant that's a decent idea gameplay wise, but doubt it'd do much for the economy the way you see it
[giving players more ms would only ever be a bandaid on the economy [while quickly running into the FR problem of 'it's a bad deal to buy currency from the site' while at it] without addressing the root - there isn't enough stuff to use pebbles for making people rarely trade MS to Pebble and therefore driving the MS price way up. On other games people frequently buy premium currency just to get a lot of regular currency, but that doesn't happen here. This'll only be solved by a greater proportion of pebble content which, we hopefully will have eventually.]
Group is used in reference to the Clans.
That is a good point however, perhaps MS shards in place of actual MS while the fourth gets some form of cooked food (like crunchy soup)? We do overall need more uses for pebbles but that is a different subject matter.
