This is short and simple. Wild wolves need their own exclusive breed-only patterns :). Patterns u cant buy for pebbles OR moonstones ever.

No support in this case. WW’s will always have some value, there’s not really a need to add more.
:)
As the game ages more genes will be introduced, and some of those could potentially be added to the WW gene pool.
Edit- It’s the same with FR. Not every WW is going to be a winner. The no parents is a huge draw for a lot of people already. It’s still valued, just people have different preferences.
Yeah. Those should be exclusives then. Theres no reason not to give wild wolves more exclusivity
:)
No support. Same reason why there shouldn't be any genes exclusive to breeding (e.g. mutations). Locking all previously existing wolves out of a pattern or a breed is just a big no go. What if that gene would be perfect on a wolf that I already have, forcing me to have it forever imperfect because there is no gene scroll that I can use to change it? Additionally, adding something exclusive to wild wolves when the perceived value gap between wild wolves and bred wolves is in many eyes already too large is just throwing oil onto a fire.
Gaia’s got my words better! I don’t mind expanding the WW gene pool, but they can’t be exclusive to WW’s.
@heirdragonair Please do elaborate on how it is silly
@Gaia i did elaborate in my post but i will go ahead an explain further
breed-only and non-purchasable markings already exist in the game, in the form of the bracchus. sure its a kickstarter item, but for the bulk of the future player base they will never have access to a gen 1 bracchus and gen 1 maned markings (unless there is a giveaway). nobody has a problem with this. exclusivity works, clearly, as shown here for every single player that has joined since the game launched to the public.
wild wolves, as of right now, are completely devalued in the market because there's an absolutely insane amount, and the big problem is that they're usually aesthetically bad. there's literally no reason to hunt for wild wolves or purchase them from the flea market because of the fact that they're usually a huge investment to make look good and be usable. Sure, there are collectors for g1 wild wolves, but 99% of the wolves currently for sale have 0 value even to g1 collectors because they're just that ugly. You can hope to spend 35 ms to MAYBE change them to be good looking enough to keep or use for breeding. You can usually expect to spend more, however, as just today i saw someone in the discord say it took them 10 besprinkles to get a good looking and usable color scheme, so 350 whole entire moonstones.
Speaking of breeding, this is a breeding based pet game. One of the main pillars of the gameplay loop of lorewolf is breeding wolves, and one of the main things to add value to g2+ and ugly wild wolves (who's value is close to 0 rn) is to give them markings that cannot be obtained otherwise. Other games do this already and are massively successful with it, lioden has a ton of NCL (newly claimed lioness) exclusive colors you cannot get outside of breeding a lioness who already has those markings.
Your argument (that i noticed u copy/pasted into the other thread about this) is completely null and void for everyone thats not a beta tester and kickstarter supporter who got a "free" bracchus breed change for being a supporter. There is no way to apply the bracchus breed and markings to any wolf made by, bred, or generated by a new player, and that's the point, yeah. Literally the point of the bracchus being a kickstarter support exclusive wolf breed. To not want to add more variety to the gameplay of lorwolf is against the very principal of lorwolf being a video game. Giving wild wolves exclusive markings entices people to hunt for wild wolves and keep playing the game long after they've done "everything."
Player retention is the core value of an online petsim, and to be against any possible way to gain more is to be against the website at its very core.
