@heirdragonair Maned markings are actually in the shop, for pebbles. They are 60k each, and that's like a day's worth of grinding or so? None of the markings available in the game are exclusive, and they can all be bought in the Molemart. Just the Bracchus Breed, which is akin to Flight Rising's Imperial.

@heirdragonair Oh you misunderstand me; I wasn't asking for an elaboration on why you think this change is necessary. I was simply wondering why you found my opinion/feelings silly. But I digress.

Also I did in fact handwrite both messages, and not copy paste, not a big fan of that. I'd feel lazy and fear it might come of as dismissive if I did so.

Now onto the actual suggestion; I am afraid have to reiterate that I do not agree with this suggestion or the arguments you gave. The point of bracchus is true; it goes against the very argument I made. However, I never voted for bracchus to become a thing, so the fact that it exists does not invalidate my argument for the undesirability of such exclusives (it would have otherwise been quite contradictory). Additionally, the fact that it exists also should not mean that the devs then might as well add a lot more of such features.

While I agree that there is an issue in general with the value of wolves, or rather their overabundance, I truly do not believe that making WW exclusive markings is going to solve that. The market is simply oversaturated. Wolves are too easy to get by (yes, this includes wild wolves), breeding cooldowns are incredibly short, den space is limited, both with a hard limit, and a soft limit behind premium currency. That is an issue. There are very few genes and breeds at the moment. That is an issue. We need more genes and breeds in general. We need them in the MM for pebbles, to function as a pebble sink. Perhaps to spice things up we can make some crafting or findable through hunting.

As I have also said in a suggestion for adding markings that are exclusive to wolves that have been bred (like a mutation), I don't mind it if mutations are added, as long as there is a scroll counterpart to add it to wolves that already exist or were not lucky enough to be born/found with it. Yes, this is a breeding sim, but it is also a customisation sim. Making genes unapplicable, takes away of the customistion.

FR made me really not like exclusive stuff like that. Don't like my current wolves being excluded out of things. What if a gene really fits them for lore (like for example, I'm waiting on some nice spotted genes for characters. I don't want to find a nice colour match for one only to find out I won't be able to give them the gene because they're locked out of it)? I don't want to have to replace a wolf, especially if it has sentimental value to me, not to mention finding nice colour combos can be rather difficult to do with the four colour-slots, not to mention eyes.

And yes we have the Bracchus, but we knew about it before launch, which helps. Unlike an out of nowhere update, we can at least plan for how we want to get Bracchuses for specific characters/colour combos, kinda like how the maned wolf thread in LW Discussion is going. Helps that we have a wolf breed with a higher breeding rarity (Volmyr). This also doesn't mean I like the way the Bracchus was released... in fact, I don't. I don't like exclusive genes/breeds like that.

We also need more pebble sinks, so I'd rather have new genes show up for those.
