this is just asking people to multi account and make 5 new accounts just to get companions. there are plenty of rewards you could give that are not exclusive items

many of us already recruited HARD during ks/alpha/beta/EA and even AFTER launch

many of us have social anxiety/do not want to have to beg our friends/family to join and play long enough to level 5 companions to10

this is encouraging people to create 5 new accounts just to get the companions

the referral rewards is going to cause a bunch of abandoned accounts, probably far more than LW gains active players

SUGGESTED REWARDS

10% of ms purchases a referred player makes (example: referred user buys a $1 pack, referrer gets 1ms /referred used buys a chest of ms, referrer gets 125ms)

foods (perhaps precrafted recipe, the good ones that give 40-80+ stamina)

knucklebone tokens

weekly tickets (user can select which ones they want)

Supporting yet another thread on this - I realize the devs do not have malicious intent and just want new registrations, but it feels like punishing players who are quiet, less social, or have anxiety.

very much support , on top of the fact i already got several of my friends to join so seems like a punishment to those of us who were excited and got ppl to join early on.

100% support, I've already invited the only people I know that would be interested and have no major platform to advertise on. My social anxiety is too strong to ask strangers to join, and pushing them to level companions to 50 is out of the question.

Another fine solution to this very big problem! I'm okay with other types of rewards being Soulbound, but Companions are important. We like to collect them, they have synergies, and they yield rewards. They should not be Soulbound.

I was also thinking about the multi-accounting issue. I have 0 doubt that people are already doing it as we speak.

I like the list of suggested rewards so far! I'd also like to add maybe reward apparel? It's Cosmetic, has no impact on the game, and people DO like dressing up wolves, so it might be more of an incentive?

Complete support, referrals are hard to make and it can sometimes be hard to find a place that allows referrals to other sites as well.

TBH I don't like the idea of any exclusive referral items at all, since some people might want to use it but can't get anyone to play. Food and knucklebone tokens would be good, more transparent rewards, that still incentivice referring people to the game without gatekeeping something unique to people who refer others (:
