Wording in referral description is false

So I got a friend use my referral and based on this wording my friend should get the option to choose a doggo right away. And this is how I advertised my referral to them. But it is not true and consulting in discord also gave the same answer. They dont have any option to do so. They must reach level 50 first.

"Optionally, 1 of these can be earned by being referred by another player when registering."

This sentence means that new users who use a referral code will have the option to choose 1 of these companions upon registration.

Please change or delete this sentence as it is extremely misleading and currently false.

@Tylwyllwch The crucial text is currently blocked by your markings, but the important part is that both players need to have lv50 in companions for them to claim a pup. I do agree that ic an be worded less awkwardly to avoid confusion, but it is technically not false at all. I referred someone and (because we both had lv50+ companions) we could both immediately claim one of the pups.
