Add small icon to wolves that delineates Generation

Maybe like a circle with (G1), (G2) etc in it, to see at a glance what generation the wolf is without having to label them that in their name, which effects offspring lists.

If the wolf was mixed (like had a G3 and G4 as it's parents) icon could say it was mixed or default to the higher gen bracket.

Support! I browse the flea market a lot and when I want G2s I have to use G2 as a keyword. I know I'm filtering OUT a lot of g2s that way, but I'm too lazy to click on all of them and go thru their lineage ):

I’m going to say no support because, eventually, there will be some very high generation numbers. It may be cumbersome to have a generation tag next to wolves that are 15th, 20th, 228th gen etc haha. Plus for players that don’t care about gen, they could feel like the site is trying to devalue their wolves by emphasizing it for every player.

Especially for tagging wolves with “mixed” gen, I can see a whole market of players putting trade requests for “pure gen” wolves only.

@Eralune I mean, that market already exists. There are definitely people who only want pure gen wolves, people who only want 2nd gen wolves, etc. A lot of players care about generational positioning for lore writing reasons.

That is true. But I feel like this feature would make it worse, or inhibit people’s lore building. If I have a wolf I want to write as a loner or have a mysterious past, but he has his generation stuck by his name, it would just really mess up the whole aesthetic for me.

I would however support adding generation to the Lorwolf for sale section of the flea market.

Half support. It is hard to flip through many pages of parents to determine the gen, so these markers would make it much easier. Also the fm already has a ww and normal tag, so why not add a g2 tag? I don't support the mixed gen tags though, they just wouldn't be necessary as most people only care about the actual gen of the wolf.

I remember Wajas and the ridiculous emphasis put on generation there, well into the double-digit generations; it's a huge mistake to encourage that kind of goofiness occurring again on a new site.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying collecting G2's, but the site itself shouldn't take an "official stance" to make it seem like lower (2+) generation wolves are inherently worth more by allowing too much granularity in the auction house search options.
