This hit me with Cooking, but I think it could work well across the professions. Basically when you mouse over things to see the end results it not only shows the 'Sells For' amount but perhaps an "Owned' or 'In Inventory' amount. So for instance if you're trying to keep food for the Gardener stocked you could mouse over and see what you're low on, or check how many Wheels you have in crafting, without having to have two tabs open or bouncing between one page and another and trying to remember.
(I admit I'm speaking mostly for myself; chemo brain is real lol.)
