I graduated community college, and transferred to a university to pursue my lifelong dream of zoology! I traveled to Boston and got to spend a little less than 2 weeks with my closest friends who live in different parts of the country. Besides that I took it easy, but 2023 was a huge step up from 2022 so I'm content.

I am finally, finally in a place where I have the resources and personal energy to get some of my health issues figured out (or at least begin the process!) Some have been things I’ve ignored for well over a decade because I chronically minimized myself in order to be palatable to others. I am working on being okay with taking up space and protecting my peace and I think I’ve come very far with that in the past year.

I also walked over 600 miles this year!

As stupid as it might sound to some people who have the ability to walk without pain in their knee joints 24/7 my biggest accomplishment was to finally find an orthopedic surgeon who said yes to doing a complete total knee replacement surgery on my left knee. I had the surgery done on Monday 2/12/2024 and I don't think that I'd change anything about doing it again.
