Currently we have several shops:
- Marvin's Mole Market
- the (regular) Arena shop
- The weekly event shops
- And now also the Seasonal event shop
Currently only the MM shows whether you own a specific companion or recipe, whereas the weekly event shops only do so for companions.
I would love it if this was expanded to all shops and to also include apparel. A simple 'you own X copies of this item' upon hover ower would work perfectly for me.
And as a bit of feedback on the current indicator; the green little indicator that says 'new!' to me implies that it is a new item, not necessarily that it is new to me. Perhaps the 'new' indicator could be used for items that have been recently released (say, the last two weeks), but a different indicator is used to show you how many you have of a specific item ('unowned' for example?)
Why?
Especially in the event shop, with a limit time to obtain vouchers to spend there, you don't want to accidentally purchase a duplicate when you are still trying to obtain one of each. Being able to see which ones you do and which ones you don't have would be ideal for this. But this also applies to other places, the regular arena shop for example, I've accidentally purchased duplicates there because trying to figure out if I have a specific companion or apparel, spread over my inventory and my many wolves, is a pain.
Pros and cons
The pros of a visual indicator similar to the 'new' label, would be that you can easily see in one go which ones you do and don't have. The con however, is that it might clutter the page a bit.
The pros of a 'you own x copies of this item' is that it doesn't clutter the page, and gives you an exact amount, useful for example when you are trying to get a second, third, etc. set of something. The downside is that you will need to hover over each item individually to know whether you've obtained everything.
I don't want to clutter pages too much, these are just some ideas on the top of my head, so feedback and alternative ideas are welcome.
