I think the current state of farming isn't super cohesive, but bear with me as I try to find a way to articulate it lol.
Currently the way that compost and water works is that they're both on the exact same timers and replenish at the same rate, and every seed requires an equal amount of compost/water ratio. This kind of makes the point of having both of them nonexistent? It's just a bunch of extra clicking for what is ultimately one function. You'll never have a surplus of compost and no water or vice versa. I think something needs to be done that either gives both of these things purpose or makes it only one thing.
A few ideas:
-Make seeds require different amounts of compost/ water i.e. 5x compost and 3x water, 2x compost 3x water, etc
-Make the replenish rates different
-Reduce it to one bar with one timer, and I guess if we had to pick one of the two water would make the most sense to keep
Biggest problem I can think of here is that changing the replenishment rates or making seeds require different amounts could be really frustrating to coordinate and make it harder to farm, but also without doing something to make compost and water distinct from each other just defeats the purpose of having both of them. Would love to hear anyone else's ideas!
