What it says on this tin basically, there's a few times where I've bonded and then needed to adjust companions for a team loadout in gauntlet or campaign.

100% support. It is really annoying, especially with the long cooldowns to have to wait to participate in other areas of the game (gauntlet, hunting, campaign, and during events the event gauntlet).. It's not about being able to bond multiple times, It is about not being locked out of certain parts of the game for hours due to the design of the game.@Gaia(I made a suggestion about this years ago that has a few more elaborate options to solve the issue in addition to swapping companions. Must be floating about somewhere)
This exactly, I don't care about being able to bond multiple times. I just need a way to adjust my team... Rather not wait five hours because of one mistake.

I understand the frustration of not being able to remove companions once they're bonded. I'll often have wolves with companions I intend to release, but can't because I have to wait for the companion cooldown. However, I understand they have a cooldown to prevent people from abusing the system.
My best suggestion would be to have dens specifically for the gauntlet, hunting, campaigns, etc. so you can create/organize specific teams. Sadly, I know that's not a feasible option for everyone, as dens cost real money. :(
This is a forced workaround that limits and costs the player, for something that is by default faulty game design. You can't have certain features be connected to the same thing but then design it in such a way that by using one you are locked out of the other for hours on end. I don't think it is on to the player to solve this or find a workaround. It is for the devs to redesign it so that it doesn't lock people out of multiple parts of the game.

How about just not resetting the cooldown when a companion is removed that is still on cooldown?Or swapping the cooldown of the first companion with the one it is swapped with?Lets say you have Companion A that has an 1 hour cooldown and swap it with Companion B who has an possible cooldown of 6 hours, wich gets immediately activated once it is swapped in.So to say, if you swap a Companion that is on cooldown with another one, the swapped in one is automatically on its cooldown(Supporting this idea btw!)
@Calypso this is what would work honestly, the cooldown would still be in effect so there's no "infinite bonding" issue.
