"Hello!" a boisterous voice calls out to you. You glance around- you had been trudging through the Darkspine forests in search of food or water or shelter, and hadn't seen another wolf in ages. Who could it be calling out to you?

A well-armored, darkly colored Jocol pops out of the bushes. "You there? Yes, you!" it calls out to you. "My name is Valerian the Valiant," he declares as he puffs up his chest mightily. "I am off to slay the Chaos! Yes, the Chaos! Would you like to join me, in a quest to perhaps gain the title Valiant yourself?!"

OOC: Welcome to my silly little roleplay, featuring my wolf Valerian! As you may be able to guess based on the title, the general vibe is that of Don Quixote: a delusional knight setting off to defeat something undefeatable. Are you here to join in his epic quest to somehow defeat the very essence of Chaos and strife within Loria? Perhaps you would like to pull him back down to earth with your mesmerizing reasoning skills- though good luck with that when he's so far up in the clouds! Or perhaps you have more nefarious reasons to tag along to a wolf with a sword on his hip and a head full of dreams. After all, who's to say what is actually valiant?

Based on the general tone of the story, I have a few main plot beats planned to help move things along. Will you manage to get out of the Darkspine forests? Will you head to the strange rivers of Mistvale? Perhaps the chill of Icerun will call to you? Wherever you may go, there is sure to be adventure awaiting you!

• Pronouns: He/him
• Equipment (if any): Is poorly dressed in copper armor in the sense that he is barely dressed with any armor whatsoever. He has on only a simple pair of greaves. Most of his focus seems to have been the elaborate looking chest plate he wears, that is a bit too shiny and bright to imply any sort of actual combat practice... His sword too seems a bit too clean to have been sullied with true battle before. Alas, he wears it all with pride- misplaced or not.
• Personality: Overly confident and unfailingly positive. He thinks himself a heroic knight, fully capable of charging against the Chaos. He seems to always have a tale that he is weaving about his prowess. What truth there is in them is a different matter entirely...
• What has compelled your wolf to adventure? Valerian has given himself the title of Valiant, and what is more Valiant than fighting against these increasingly irritating and persistent corrupted creatures that are emerging around his beloved Grove? He has given himself the arduous and admirable and heroic task of snuffing out the darkness that seems to be encroaching on Loria. After all, who better to do this then him, who has had a thousand battles under his belt?

Skills (if any): He likes to tap trees in the spring. Rupp is a skilled hunter and at ease in the woods.
Personality: Easy-going, curious, and a good listener. He spends much of his time alone when he's in the woods, but he enjoys the company of others and learning their stories. He has a heightened sense of responsibility for everything around him. He cares deeply for the forest and the trees he taps.
What has compelled your wolf to adventure? Heck, no reason at all really -- just seems like this fellow needs a paw and Rupp won't be busy until tapping season. He would also feel bad if this strange wolf got hurt and Rupp wasn't there to stop it. Being a knight might bring in some funds, too, which would help him buy more tappers... Hmmm...

Rupp looked over his shoulder, expecting the strange wolf to be talking to anyone ELSE in the deep dark woods of Darkspine. He had been traveling this way to check his trap in the next ravine of nettles over yonder. But no, it seemed he was the only wolf on this trail -- Rupp turned back to look at Valerian.

"Valiant, like a knight?" he asked incredulously. Didn't wolves have to train super hard for that!? He just had a dagger... well, and this bit of armor too. There were hedge knights, weren't there?

"Hmm, fighting the Chaos is dangerous but I've taken out a few consumed Vulpactia before... so, yeah, I can help," Rupp said. He approached the black Jocol and sat, cocking his head to side.
